Whath happened to the announcement from the former military, etc?
Weren't the former officials supposed to announce today that they think * is bad for national security?

1. They were just discussing this on the BBC (heard via NPR).
They DID announce it today. . . it's conspicuously absent from mainstream media though.

2. Thought this was going to be a big story
What's that? The post office is issuing a commemorative Reagan stamp?

Hey, there are priorities, you know.

4. I know.......
I'm disappointed too. I caught the tail-end of Wolf interviewing one of the guys. I thought this was to be done at the Press Club. No C-span link yet either. Oh well, I bet someone got to them.

9. That's nuts!
The CBS Evening News announced the other night that the officials were going to do it. If that's important enough to report, you'd think the fact that they'd done it would be worth reporting.

18. Here we go.........
The National Press Club website has it on Video.
Go TO:

http://npc.press.org/

Then click on the first item on right hand side of page. Says Diplos and Generals or something similar.

5. The press conference was to be at 8am
The group is called Diplomats and Military Commanders for Change. I don't see ANY coverage. I am trying to see if they even had the press conference today as scheduled.

6. You won't see it covered in the US "Liberal" Media...
But hey, wait! Police testified they found a pair of panties that were too small to be Laci's in Scott Peterson's SUV....or Michael Jack-off said something stupid...or Dick Cheney denied that he ever WAS connected with Halliburton....

nothing to see here, move along!

8. Roundabout Way of Getting Here

I like this part:

"Never in the two and a quarter centuries of our history has the United States been so isolated among the nations, so broadly feared and distrusted," the letter said, according to its original English-language text supplied to Le Monde's Thursday edition by Washington's National Press Club."

So they release it to the Washington National Press Club where the American media promptly ... ignores it. But foreign press, e.g. Le Monde and BBC, obtain copies from Washington and report it overseas. This then lets us hear about it from foreign wire services.

11. So that is how they undermine it
associate it with France. The press will report in French newspapers and tarnish it, as if these 26 dignitaries are aligned with the cowardly French.

GEEEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Okay, I'm pissed off now.

We need to shove this down their throats.
