In this story quoting Powell from Meet The Press this AM, he said:

"It's not a political judgment that said, `Let's see if we can cook the books.' We can't get away with that now."

Think about what that means or what the meanings could be, some clearly Freudian:

- THE PUBLIC CAN BE CONFIDENT THAT THE MEDIA IS REALLY TOUGH
- WE TRIED TO SLIP THE BAD NUMBERS THROUGH- BUT IT DIDN'T WORK
- NOT LIKE I COOKED THEM LAST YEAR AT THE UN

you name it, it's a really weird statement.

2. If we cant believe the terrorism numbers

Then how can we believe the unemployment numbers. Remember a few years ago when the unemployment was at 6.0 they decided they didn't like the old formula of calculating unemployment numbers so they changed the formula and had an immediate .2 drop in unemployment. These people are LIARS.
