So where was Cheney last night?
Did they hustle him off to his underground bunker again? Or was he down in command and control, flipping the switches off, on the power grid?

BTW: I think the test went very well last night?

1. he prefers to count the Halliburton dividends in the dark

... and anyway, his greasy, grubby hands are oily enough to light up a midsize city.

2. I beleive he was in Wyoming
on vacation. For God's sake! Why should the vice president worry about a bunch of liberals without lights? OOOPs...I mean it was a domestic issue and is being handled.

11. Just because he's on vacation
doesn't mean he was in WY yesterday. Seems that Cheney and W still find plenty of time to get in a little fund raising, even when they are on vacation.

BTW: Shouldn't it be a national security issue to have the almost the entire misadministration out on vacation at the same time? Especially the Pres and the VP?

4. This was the second test. The first test was the Iraq power grid.
At least that's what a reasonable person might suspect.

8. He Was Forging the "Blame CLINTON" Link
Anything that they can manufacture the slightest connection to CLINTON is automatically a huge issue. Why has Bill RICHARDSON been on all the airways about this? It was strange yesterday, when the news was breaking in other parts of the country, for the governor of New Mexico to be all over the airways.

And today came the clincher. The CNN dweeb in the morning was rehearsing RICHARDSON about what was wrong with the grids and the infrastructure, then sprung the trap: "Well, Governor, why didn't this get taken care of while YOU were there?" "You" = "you CLINTON guys".

The true answer SHOULD be: Because the radical wingnuts gridlocked all issues for the sake of overthrowing the elected government. But, no, us polite Dems can't say THAT, that would be FINGER-POINTING, now wouldn't it.

P.S., Fare Unbalanced.

9. Directing the blackout, which started the minute the NYSE closed
Edited on Fri Aug-15-03 09:11 AM by Lori Price CLG
LOL, a guest was just on MoreSh*tNoBrainsCable, waxing poetic on how customers need to pay more to repair the 'power grid' to prevent another such disaster.

We still have not been told the cause, just that the Idiot Usurper knows the blackout was not caused by an act of terrorism. Uh, how can he say that when he does not know the cause, to 'rule out' an act of terrorism?

10. military and the power grid
Can't impact those financial markets now can we? Only one way to knock out a powergrid without leaving evidence. The military can and does knock out grids in countries we are invading, SOP.

Pretty blatant to time it so close to the market closing. Should have waited till people got home and flipped on air conditioners etc. would look more 'normal'. Oh well the pictures on the evening news were impressive. Maybe time it for later next time.
