I AM BOYCOTTING DU
At least in the morning. I cant keep starting off my day with stories like "California Ordered to Refund $270 million to Enron" and "Car Bomb Explosion Kills 30 in Iraq." This is NOT a good way to start my day. My blood pressure goes up, my hopes come down and all I want to do is bash someones f'ing face in...

bye bye morning DU'ers. :hi:

-Alec

p.s. Once we have a sane, competent president I may change my policy. Until then, sayonara baby!

3. Staying angry is what keeps me FIGHTING
to get the idiot-in-chief out in Nov.! Stay angry! It's motivating! I've been pissed off, mad as hell, ANGRY....since the 2000 election. That's what brought me to DU.....my sanctuary. ;)

4. I've tried it. Doesn't work for me.

The same helpless feelings are present when I see the evening news, read the morning paper, watch "headlines"; and, the politics cannot be shoved aside when I buy a gallon of gas or milk and pay the obligatory bills.
We can escape some DU gloom by boycotting the AM DU, but it's not a solution for our respective blood pressures, which seem to need attention in the PM too.

"Everything's" politics once you've been deeply involved. I wish you better luck than I have had.

...O...

6. No offense...
If all you ever read are fairy tales, how informed do you feel?

I suppose it would be nice to be a "happy idiot," but I cannot ignore what is going on in the world, no matter HOW traumatic the news is...

Still - hope to see you back when chimpy is out of Office...;^)

the Bush Regime though!

8. I listened to RW talk radio on the way to my doctor appointment yesterday
My BP was 130/90. Normally my morning BP is 120/70 (I'm on meds for BP). Doctor asked what I had done, I explained I was listening to Neil Boortz on the drive over, "Oh, that'd do it," she laughed.

9. I'm not exactly sure how one is expected
to respond to a post like this.

I'm sorry the world is so tough; but it is. It's been tough before. Vally Forge for example. World War II. Defending freedom has never really been easy, has it?

But you gotta do what you gotta do, I suppose. Good luck.

Bryant
