Bush's speech last night.
I only saw parts of it, but from what I saw he was terrible and clearly under the influence of some substance. I have seen a few post from people who saw the whole thing and they say that the speech was taped ahead of time and that it was obviously edited. What the hell is going on with journalism in this country, if the president can get away with this.

The president waits several hours to address the nation and even when he does it is pretaped and edited with phony reporters asking phony questions and the media just plays along. We are doomed.

4. Honestly?
I think the president has an as-yet undisclosed medical condition. I'm serious. Whatever it is, it's apparent that he is being medicated for it. The occassional symptoms of slurred speech, ruddy apperance, and sometimes sedated appearance may be variously caused by his condition or his medication, but there's something physiologically amiss.

5. I think so too. He looks like total hell. Last month..
Edited on Fri Aug-15-03 10:18 AM by Kahuna
his face was puffy like he was on some kind of steriods. His face isn't puffy this month. It's long and drawn. He's beginning to look like his hideous looking parents. Serves him right.

13. his skin condition
is treated with roids..but the worse place in the world he should be at is the pig farm. he has to wear a hat that covers his face and use alot of sunblock cream to keep his skin damage to a minimum. but in every photo you never see him with a hat on or any hint of sunblock. yes,in a few years he will look like the monster he is....

6. It could be a medical condition
or it could be substance abuse. Of course substance abuse could be considered a medical condition. We know he has a history of substance abuse, so that is the most likely cause.

7. He's on pot
Sometime a few months ago, all his speaches have been slow, meandering, and completely relaxed. Strikes me as someone smoking pot. The poor guy probably can't handle the anxiety of having not a clue, but this clearly isn't helping.

12. Hmmm, well...
It's known that Bush 41 was on Halcyon (REALLY weird sleeping pill banned in most of Europe) regularly during his manic phases of flying everywhere all the time and utterly screwing up his circadian rhythms. Wouldn't be surprised if something similar was going with with 43.

Halcyon and similar downers are definitely bad shit for anyone. Not recommended when operating heavy machinery or having your finger on the nuclear trigger...

He was shaky, paranoid, and permanently in withdrawal, as Bush always is.

15. I dunno, I've seen him look worse
like at that staged "press conference" back in March. I saw and listened to the tape from last night. He looked uncomfortable and distracted, like he was worried, his brow was all furrowed. I think part of it was the setting, he was without a desk or lectern in front of him and no teleprompter. He looked out of place, like he was dragged outta vacation.

Someone posted a thread last night that had his intitial response to Ted Koppel at ABC something along the lines of "this was a domestic issue that did not require WH action" Rove probably slapped him upside the head and told him "dont fuck it up any worse this time like you always do!" I didn't see the ABC thing

16. the empty bookshelves were a nice touch...reminded me of
the great blank thoughts of bush* and his minions...just a silver item and a display-mounted-plate on all those shelves behind him...blank shelves, blank mind...and the arrogance of wealth...
