Am I The Only Person Who Finds This OHIO Mall Story Fishy As Hell?
Pretty damn convenient, I think, since it's widely agreed that Ohio is THE big electoral battleground state for November. There's "credible evidence" (one wonders if it's "90% certain", also) that this cell-phone dealer had specific plans to attack a specific mall. Except.. wait.. there is no evidence of a specific plan.. or is there?

I think everything that comes out of this DOJ.. and this Administration.. is suspect and probably politically motivated.

3. Kind of makes you wonder
Who the real terrorists are.

Unfortunately lots of Americans believe anything they see on the TeeVee, no questions asked.

7. It's a bunch of crap
and your analysis is perfectly correct. Ohio is a crucial state. No Republican has EVER won the presidency without it.

What they are doing amounts to psychological terrorism. Studies have shown that people under extreme stress and tension do not act rationally. They are emotionally driven and the one thing they crave most of all is to end the fear and distress.

Bush is portrayed as the protector who will keep them safe from the evildoers and the sheeple run to the polls to vote for him to protect them.

Because they are emotionally driven, they do not look at the facts and the reality of the situation. It's nothing but a huge psy ops game for them.

17. Just because they've had the guy in custody for eight months?
I suppose you don't think he could bust out any second, get bomb-making materials, head for a large shopping mall, and blow the place up for no apparent reason?

Jeez, you guys are sooooo cynical! I'll bet you don't clap loud enough or believe deeply enough, and Tinkerbell dies every time. Aren't you ashamed of yourselves?

And this had nothing whatsoever to do with Crisco Johnny's embarrassing performance before the Senate committee last week, so stop saying that!

18. Fishy As Hell - And IT Worked
http://www.enquirer.com/editions/2004/06/17/editorial_letters.html

Mall threat shows terrorism real

I will start by saying that I adamantly support the war on terror. It's easy for me to know which presidential candidate is going to look out for my family and I during this troubled time. Consequently, it is difficult for me to understand those who don't support it, let alone those who choose to pretend its fluff and not that big a deal.

Maybe this recent discovery of a plot to blow up a shopping mall will wake up the mothers and the 20-somethings in this country to the realization that evil exists in the world and ignoring it will not make it go away. We should not be bullied into canceling a trip to California because terrorists blew up planes. Equally, we should not be afraid to go to the shopping mall to hang out or shop either. But that is exactly what their goal is - to terrorize. Don't become so numb during this political year that you refuse to see what is going on. Terrorism is real.

20. Sinking standards
I live near Columbus, Ohio, and on the Wags and Elliot radio show they were commenting how "interesting" it was that the initial target for the terrorists was the WTC; then the pentagon, then the white house (or capital building), and then a mall in Ohio? wtf?

so fucking obvious; I can't understand how people don't see this

22. Did the guy who has been in custody since last November, have a PLAN
or was it just a series of actionable items written down in chronological order?

If it was the latter then it is clearly a hoax.
