saw our boy will on cspan, and he was on fire! he talks the way our democratic elected representatives SHOULD talk. none of the 9 dems currently running for the white house have as much fire as will.

would that will would run for president. he'd get my vote. perhaps he should write speeches and platforms for our party. or be an advisor to the candidate, or just continue what he is doing. getting out there and speaking out loud and unafraid. people have been cowtowed for too long by the bushco brain washing machinery, but not will.

an older white bearded gentleman thanked will by saying that we needed more young people like him on our side. i agree, as an old fart myself. there arent' nearly enough will pitts out there raising hell and railing against the oppressors. too bad we can't have him cloned. 'attack of the pitt clones', rail against the empire.

and will has given contemporary journalism a slap in the face, with his strike anywhere guerilla writing and research and interviews with those in on the story. there simply aren't enough will pitts. we need more now. i suggest we obtain a cheek scraping immediately and git it down to IMCLONE post haste.

i think that is the problem with us progressives. do you think that the right wing think tanks and organizations are not working in concert with the repug party? doing their bidding or setting the agenda? whereas we are a small army that gets some notice how much influence do we really wield? i am not saying that we are ineffective or useless, just that the right seems to be so much more organized towards a concerted effort to promote their ideology. how can we fight that? again, i am an optimist by nature, that statement is not an admission of hopelessness but merely a real request for ideas as to how we can get the word out to the majority of the public.

since i discovered du 3 weeks ago after being what i thought was a lone wolf in the wilderness (except for truthout and will's fabulous editorials) i figured it was hopeless. now that i know there are like minded people what can we do to link to others of similar philosophies?
