The RW hated Clinton because he exceeded their expectations and did a great job with the economy and the country in general. To admit they liked Clinton was to admit that Democrats were good for the country. Can't have that! They did NOT hate him for sex, that was just an excuse. Hate in Clinton's case wasn't really hate, it was something else.

I don't need to list the reasons Bush is so hated. We all know why.

the right hates Clinton pathologically. They require no reason to hate him. He is purely symbolic to them. If you look at Clinton's actual policies, as opposed to the right's charicature of him, he is actually quite moderate--conservative even. George W. Bush, on the other hand, is demonstrably a failure. Every business he has "led," his misspent youth--indeed, everything he has done in his life--is testament to his unearned position of privelege and immunity from the realities of life and the consequences of his own dearth of talent. He is, unequivocally, a towel-snapping frat boy--nothing less, nothing more. That his happenstance of birth could lead him to preeminent political power is thoroughly unamerican. The extreme right, however, is SO much more organized than any part of the left. The right encourages conformity, the left relishes debate and dissent.
