Did Bush forget Paul Johnson's name?

When I caught the news of President Nit-Wit speaking about Paul Johnson's execution at the hands of the terrorists in Saudi Arabia, he referred to the tragic victim as Paul, then he paused as if to think of his last name, and either repeated Paul, or just left it there. I thought,"this moron is trying to imply that he knows the victim personally, or he doesn't know or can't remember his last name." Am I the only one who has posted this observation, since I've been at work for twelve hours, or did anyone else get that same impression?

Whatever happened to the OTHER four Iraq speeches, BTW?

Bush pronounced Abu Ghraib three different ways in 20 seconds because the name was NEW to him. If he had mispronounced it consistently it would not be an issue - he would reveal that he was familiar with the word but wrong in his pronounciation - no big deal. But he acted as if he had never HEARD of Abu Ghraib before. And THAT is his crime.

Similarly, as millions of good-hearted Americans prayed for the life of Paul Johnson, George Bush Junior couldn't give a shit. He did not follow the story, was not informed, did not care, and only paid attention when he had to speak about it and then fucked it up because it was unfamiliar.

He said "Paul" and there was that uncomfortable pause where I expected to hear "Johnson", but there was nothing in his empty head, so he just went on.

I too thought that Bush was a little too familiar and non respectful. I didn't hear him calling Reagan ...Ron...Ronnie....Ronald. I wanted to be comforted by the President but did not come away from this sound bite message feeling lifted or encouraged. I and I think the country needs this.. A whole lot more than the so called unifying funeral of Reagan.

5. I thought the same thing when Bush spoke today. I am surprised

he could pronounce "Paul" so well. As I was watching the moron today I caught my breath when he paused before he said the name "Paul" and I am thinking oh--- shit --- the moron can't remember the guys name.... I was actually cheering that he said "Paul" at least. I can't believe they let him talk in public like that???

I first really noticed that when he talked to the nation about capturing Al Qaeda suspects in Afghanistan. He actually gave a little chuckle when he said that while some had been captured, others had been otherwise dealt with. I can't remember the exact words anymore, but his whole manner said that this is a man who loves to send others to deal out death in his name.

Gave me a chill. He's only reinforced that impression since then.
