"It's a fight between right and wrong, good and evil." - McCain
Edited on Sat Jun-19-04 11:38 AM by bloom
Although Mr. McCain did not assert any link between Iraq and Al Qaeda, he gave a lengthy speech introducing Mr. Bush...

"It's a big thing, this war, a fight between two ideologies completely opposed to each other," Mr. McCain told the soldiers, many of whom fought in Iraq and Afghanistan. "It's a fight between a just regard for human dignity and a malevolent force that defiles an honorable religion by disputing God's love for each and every soul on Earth. It's a fight between right and wrong, good and evil. It's no more ambiguous than that."

***********************

Funny - he didn't say which side we were - good and right or wrong and evil.....

2. Payment
I wonder what the Bush gang had to give McCain to spout these inanities -- VP, Sec of Defense or State. I'm thinking Defense.

6. As clear as black and white
It's time to once again drag out the oversimplified dichotomies so that those who can't or don't want to think critically don't have to.

McCain makes me ill. Any respect that I had for him no longer exists. The fact that he can know what he knows and can still get on stage and smile and compliment. Blech! :puke:

7. Must Agree ...
I agree AbbeyRoad. Just when I think McCain can see through all the vile Propaganda and be a true stand up guy, he goes and pulls shit like this ... Disgraceful :(

9. Because he's one of the "Four Horsemen"?
(That's the name that McCain and the other 3 Senators who wrote the Iraq War Bill called themselves on the Senate floor during the debates leading up to the war vote. I'm not kidding either. They thought it was quite funny and laughed about it a lot.)

10. I've wondered if he's being groomed to take bush*'s place.
I've thought for a long time that bush* was expendable in the overall scheme of the PNAC bunch.
Throw in a figurehead VP that might rally the RWers back to the party and there's a possibility the repubs could *win*(close race, BBV).
Cheney could go on being the one in charge in the shadow government and we would never know it.

13. They won't allow him to be President
being VP could land him in the top spot. I don't know what they paid McCain to support Bush, but they can't control him if he becoms pres. They only want some establishment tool like bush or ray-gun.

12. Two types of evil people:
1. those who do evil things (Bush and his clan)
2. those who see people do evil things and allow it to happen (McCain, Powell, the honest conservatives/Republicans)

16. Almost a direct quote from a Ministry song, which quoted GHWB
Good and evil, right and wrong. It's from a song called New World Order. Great album. I wish they'd do another one just as good.

18. I was thinking the same thing
Good news is that Ministry has a new cd coming out (or is it our already?) that is ENTIRELY Anti-Bush. Each song starts with the letter "W".
