Apparently, some members of a Navy SEAL team (the Navy's commando force) who were training in Thailand got hold of some drugs, took 'em and came up positive on the subsequent drug tests.

SEALs are the last people in the world you'd expect to be doing drugs, so that they are is a bit strange.

Of course in a draft situation they could just criminalisze that practice, if they deem it that there was evidence of it. They could use some charge like "obstruction of military induction", and then as a plea bargain tool they could offer to drop the charges if the person went to rehab and enlisted.

They have a lot of tricks up their sleeves, trust me. They learned a lot of lessons from the last draft.

2. Anyone who thinks a positive marijuana test will get them out of

the draft is dreaming. They'll put you in "rehab" for a month and then stick you on the front lines without a flak jacket. You will mark yourself as a super-expendable druggie.
