Oprah is a Democrat and is a strong supporter of peace. Have you ever read her interview with Nelson Mandela? I think Oprah is chomping at the bit to speak out against what's going on in Iraq, but she's "biding" her time until it's "politically necessary."

The Republican woman that she is supporting is the one that is pro-choice and is an extremely moderate republican.

However when she acts like one those some of our brothers and sisters on DU act as if she is a whore. . .sad but true. Many on the DU say they want objectivity but they really don't.

she doesn't want to risk alienating her fan base unless it's absolutely necessary. It's not about money - it's about using the power of one's influence sparingly enough so that it means something when it is used.

. . .as we are here on the DU. Hell Kucinich is going to a party for Frank Luntz. . .the whole world is not as partisan and Black and White as the DU. Oprah's relationship with Maria and Arnold is about friendship, not partisanship. Friends will always help friends.

I don't watch talk shows as a rule. That is as simple as it gets. I just don't like them very much. Call me uninformed, or whatever, I don't care. I have just never cared for talk shows.

. . .Oprah knows everybody wants to hear about Monica and so she goes there, however she allows him to talk about it and how he still kept the country running. Also he was very gracious to Monica.
