Clinton's "rage" at that dipshit BBC reporter was right on
Drudge and other loony wingnuts have been promoting breathlessly Clinton's rage at overtly personal questions given to him during a recent BBC interview.

Seriosly, Drudge has been hyping this as if it's the most important story ever...

Now I see why they are so pissed. Clinton speaks the truth and indicts the press and the right wing. He calls them out.

"Let me just say this. One of the reasons he got away with it is because people like you only ask me the questions.

"You gave him a complete free ride. Any abuse they wanted to do. They indicted all these little people from Arkansas, what did you care about them, they're not famous, who cares that their life was trampled. Who cares that their children are humiliated."

"Nobody in your line of work cared a rip about that at the time. Why, because he was helping their story. And that's why people like you always help the far-right, because you like to hurt people, and you like to talk about how bad people are and all their personal failings."

"Look, you made a decision to allocate your time in a certain way, you should take responsibility for that, you should say 'yes, I care much more about this than whether the Bosnian people were saved, and whether he brought a million home from Kosovo'."

I hope this interview gets show far and wide! Clinton fuckin' destroys the right wing...

1. We need to hear more from Clinton ~ He has nothing to lose now.
He can finally "let er rip" and when he does I will be standing on the sidelines cheering like never before. He is 100% correct in saying these guys hyped everything for sensationalistic purposes and never bothered with getting the truth. Clinton is a force and the GOP will regret their fucking him over like they have. Payback is coming as sure as the sun rises in the East.

4. A lot of people take the British press as gospel
I think most of it is senseless and irresponsible sensationalism.

6. A lot of the press (ie print) is irresponsible
but British TV journalism is more balanced and responsible than American. And no-one has ever accused David Dimbleby of being sensationalist before (Jeez, he's used as the standard 'sober voice' for funeral commentaries and other public occasions).

I think we need to wait and hear his questions before going over the top in criticism.

5. I agree totally. If he could say this on American TV. They have
questioned him about Monica, Monica, Monica, Monica... and his repentance. As him something else, please.
Norville (MSNBC) had Susan McDougal last night... really interesting to see her take on the attacks on Clinton.

14. What do you mean, "if he could say"?
Who's stopping him?

I love Bill Clinton, but I don't understand where he's going with all of this Monica /repentence talk. Of course the interviewers are going to ask him about it...no surprise, is there? But why doesn't he give them a tongue lashing like he did the BBC chump?

The Oprah interview (what little there was of it...40 minutes of commercials!) they talked about the sex scandal for 65% of the show...and he didn't say jack to stop it. What a waste.

9. Those are just short 'taster' clips
the first broadcast is at 10:35pm tonight (5:35pm EST). They're holding back the talked about bit to get good viewing figures, presumably. It should be available on the internet, at the page linked from the original post, from then.

11. Whole interview now available
here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsa/n5ctrl/progs/panorama/latest.ram

Start at 12 minutes, unless you want to watch the London local news (the BBC seems very lazy about their online video editing). Lewinsky stuff starts at about 17 minutes. Clinton hardly 'gets in a rage' - though he obviously feels strongly about the questioning. That's about 29 minutes.

12. I just saw the whole thing on O'Really
I admit, I was channel surfing. ANd O'Really had it, and was making a big deal about it.

I wondered what the big deal was.

First of all, I thought Clinton F-ING ROCKED in that interview. After all that he's had to put up with, he let 'er rip, while maintaining his cool and speaking eloquently. He sounded like a person not to be reckoned with.

Then Bull O'Really came back and, acting as the wannabe tough guy, said that HE wished he was the interviewer and Clinton snapped at him. Yeah, right. Everyone knows what a wimpy candyass O'Really is. All he does is talk a bunch of 'billshit'

Then, he went to one of his RW goons, Tony Snowjob, who whined about the travel office firings and FBI involvement. Oh, please! :eyes:

15. Oooooo!! The Rage!!!
Must be like the Dean rage, huh?

You can't win with these people.

They say Kerry isn't passionate enough, but when someone, like Dean shows passion, it's considered rage. And what's wrong with that anyway? You cannot measure my rage for how the country is being run and that's wrong?
