They're as open to prosecution as the drunken patron who yells at the screen, or the idiot who has a loud conversation on his cell phone during the picture. If they interfere with other people who are trying to watch the film, the management can (and should) eject them from the cinema.

I suppose their aim is to intimidate potential viewers -- and if they do disrupt screenings, to irritate other patrons so much they ask for their money back (in hopes of disrupting the opening-weekend box office?). the screenings of All Quiet on the Western Front back in Germany.

AQotWF is a silent film, very moving and very well done. It was an anti war film in the 1920's or 30's (can't remember which) and when it was released in Germany, the Nazi Brownshirts did *exactly* the same thing: demonstrated in front of the theaters, released mice into the auditoriums to disrupt audiences and attacked moviegoers.

They also brought pressure to bear on theater owners not to show the film, pontificated against it in the press and threatened violence against anyone caught watching it.

Google the title and the word Nazi and you'll see.

Fahrenheit 9/11 and All Quiet on the Western Front are under the exact same attack from the exact same factions for the exact same reasons!

"All Quiet on the Western Front" was not a silent movie, but an early "talkie." Won Oscar for Best Picture for 1930, and is on the "Top 100 Greatest Films" list. It enjoyed a bit of a revival among antiwar groups during the Vietnam era.

Where on the website does it mention anything about a "protest" or a "disruption"? A group of people--- regardless of political affiliation or beliefs--- shouldn't be labelled as "threatening" for wanting to see a movie. In case you missed the last half of the plans on the Right-Wing Attack Machine website, it includes "The party will go on after the movie for those who wish to continue." To me, this implies discussion of the movie afterwards.

Last I checked, the entire city of Gainesville does not count as UF "Campus," and even if it did, no one is forcing you to attend.

I have to laugh at your referring to the gathering as a "gang." Dictionary.com defines "gang" as "a group of criminals or hoodlums who band together for mutual protection and profit." Group? Yes. Criminals? No. Hoodlums? No. Mutual protection? No. Profit? No. It's a group of people seeing a movie together. No one would be panicking if the same group had the same plans, but saw Shrek 2 instead. What about an entirely different group with the same plans, seeing the same movie?

Wouldn't "alerting law enforcement officials" be discrimination? This is just a group of people seeing a movie, just to see the movie. Republicans are too big of a bunch of pussies who don't have the guts to do any of their own fighting. They'll send the military to fight wars for oil and bomb innocent civilians from thirty thousand feet, and then they'll reap all the profits from the rebuilding without sharing any of it with the troops that sacrificed there.

Republicans pull every string to get out of fighting in a war (Bush, Cheney, Wolfowitz, the list goes on and on) but will attack the patriotism of people who actually served (Kerry, Cleland).

If they mean go to the movie , keep their mouths shut and don't disturb or harass paying cusomers then I see no problem. The problem more than likely they are planing some sort of scene as groups like this often do. ZFor example the Repuke larvi that invaded the Dean rallies in Iowa that Joan Jet attended. Or the brooks brothers riot that stopped the legal recount in florida.

It is good for DUers to take note of these kinds of internet organized disruptions. That way if they do cause any trouble it is easy to find them and prove premeditated crime.
