Joe Wilson (rep, R- South Carolina) - NOT TORTURE? we have
Edited on Wed Jun-23-04 07:14 AM by LittleApple81
(C-Span 7:15 a.m.)
A duty to get information out of prisoners? Respecting basic principles but questioning thoroughly.
WHAT IS WRONG WITH REPUBLICANS?
This in answer to a woman saying: "what is worse? 20 hours of interrogation or a beheading?" My note: we should subject all these people to the EXACT treatment these Iraqis and Afghans were subjected to and then ask them: "Is this interrogation or torture?"

2. they worship 9/11...
they invoke its name every other moment for almost any purpose. Too warm, must be 9/11. No rain, must be 9/11. Toture? No, it's a 9/11 fraternity prank. Caught shtupping an altar boy? 9/11 changed everything.

17. I ran across this site last night...
The similarities are astounding. The modus operandi of the Bush Administration's use of "control" over the masses could very well have been taken from this site..

At first glance, you may want to dismiss it as just another woo-hoo site. But perseverance does have it's rewards.

Scroll 3/4 down the page until you see the "Table of Strategies".

Compare what you read to what we are experiencing now. Strategic manipulation. Shifting evidence already established as empirical to mean otherwise strictly by virtue of relabeling. IOW, they keep moving the finish line the ground under the goal posts Silent Weapons Plans Don't forget to scroll 3/4 down the page until you see Table of Strategies.

3. Total Kool Aid...Sheesh
I know he's being trotted out to keep the sheeple in line, but as one Repug caller put it..."we've got a lot of questions".

He's hit on every strawman...hell, he could build a damn army with them.

- Saddam evil..."I saw the bodies of women with children in their arms" (that'd be worth checking out)
- 9/11 - Iraq : "world's changed"...blah, blah, blah...FEAR
- We're helping the "Good Iraqis": We don't get the entire story...yada yada spin, CYA.

I swear, he's hit every meme for the past 3 years. And, of course, when contested, will continue to ramble as though not challenged with the blast fax point.

Problem is this is a "good-ole" boy type...can lie like a rug and give you that "oh gee" smile. The GOOP has that routine down good...with deadly effect (right Lynndie???)

MAIN vietnamese by the thousands? Aren't they still suffering their effects. It is not only our soldiers (the sprayers) but the people being sprayed.
HE EVADED THIS ASPECT ALLTOGETHER. Vietnam is now our friend!!!

This guy should be non-tortured so that we can get the truth!!!!

5. LIBYA??? When is somebody going to say: Kadaffi started the
process before the Iraqi war? He communicated with the Europeans first, not the USA. I am sure the arms are being inspected in the States because other countries do not want to get involved in this "inspection".
HE IS SAYING IT IS BECAUSE OF OUR COURAGEOUS president and it would not have occurred without the war. PLEASE!!!

8. $20 BILLION for reconstruction compared to Marshall Plan...WTF?
If I am not mistaken, there were RULES established so that PROFITEERS would not totally take over the reconstruction process, and Europeans conducted much of the work. HERE WE ARE PAYING HALLIBURTON AND OTHER CRIMINALS to steal our money!!!!!

11. We have a duty to stomp people to death?
Attach electrodes to their genitals?
Pull their shoulders out of their sockets?
Drown them?

Not in my country we don't.

Fascist pricks should all be imprisoned.

14. Wilson was spewing lie after lie after lie...
I tried to get through for around 20 minutes after I heard the one caller get cut off when he mentioned the neocons and the preferencial treatment of Israel. The host cut him off right as he was in the middle of mentioning the neoconservatives running our gov't. I just wanted to ask why callers and guests that would completely make up information would be able to talk and talk, but when someone mentions something that is actually true he is cut off mid-sentence.

16. Man, I'm glad Joe Wilson is my congressman ....
... this is how dumb a lot of people are down here - he knows that he can get away with saying stuff like this, because people just believe anything the Republicans say.

Ain't it great?
