wtf? Did he not drink his kool-aid this morning? He was talking with the Iraq correspondent regarding todays carnage all over Iraq. The correspondent did his duty reporting the official US Military Occupier statement blaming the new bogey-man al-Zarqawi for the Iraq messathon. Bill asked him... (paraphrase) "The US seems to give al-Zarqawi a lot of credit for the attacks in Iraq. Who do the Iraqis blame.?"

I never thought I would see anyone pose that question let alone Hemmer!

The Iraq reporter went on for a couple of minutes with the Iraqi view that it is a "soup" of insurgents and primarily Sunni/Saddam loyalists to blame. They believe al-Zarqawi's influence is minimal. Interesting...

If a news caster is not in 100% agreement he is rightwing. I happen to believe Bill Hemmer, Lou Dobbs & Arron brown are all very good reporters.

There seems to be a general consensus amongst DUers that Lou Dobbs is a a better journalist than we had originally thought. His scoreboard that displayed the number of executives arrested (0) at the end of each show was brilliant.

I have nothing against him, but I tend to think that Aaron Brown is the "dumb blonde" of CNN. Paula Zahn doesn't get the prize because she's just plain evil, not a "dumb blonde."

10. Paula is a Bush Family Friend

Personally. She gets all the plum scoops reporting about Poppy's retirement, thoughtful retrospectives of his life, poignent human interest stories of the kind, gentle father of the president. If I didn't now better, I'd swear SHE was the bimbo Poppy was having an affair with back in his term! Paula is the lowest of the low. She got her 8:00 gig just by toeing the line for the cabal.

5. Lou Dobbs was a HUGE cheerleader for the war.

He made NO BONES about it, either. He's a REPUBLICAN. He's anything but a good reporter.

During the "Shock and Awe" march to war Dobbs read an email on air and the email told him he was biased toward Bush and the war and she/he thought he was overstepping his boundaries by cheerleading for Bush and the war. You know what he said? ON AIR?...."If you don't like it, switch the channel. I support this president and this war and if you don't like it, TOO BAD!" He said that! Lou Dobbs is an asshole.

8. There is a point here

He is absolutely correct that we can seek our news from other sources. If we don't like something on TV or Radio or the web we can and should look elsewhere. While he may have been a cheerleader (I don't really recall) we have the obligation to be informed through a variety of sources. I really do like his program that continues to deal with outsourcing and holding that exceptionally important issue up for all to see. I really do like Lou Dobbs and will continue to watch his program. Wolf Blitzer, Paula Zahn, well those are other issues.

I don't know what Hemmer's personal politics are, but he's an airhead. So the fact that he asked a real question is kind of surprising.

When I think back about 10 years ago, maybe more, CNN used to be great! REAL NEWS! Not lacy, scott, mj, sharks, etc. 24/7! Hemmer is the worst. No wait Carol Costello is. No maybe Paula is. Aaron Brown sucks too. They have so many fucking bad news readers it is hard to choose... :crazy:
