My gramps was a WWII bomber pilot/instructor, the conditions on those things were downright scary. I am always fascinated by stories like this.

I really like the sisters' quote:
"I go for a walk at 5:30 every morning,” she said. “I always fix on a star and I use it to greet my mother and father and other relatives and friends. I know where they are and it’s my way of communicating with them. But Buddy has always been nowhere. Until now."

Such a nice way to think of departed loved ones IMO... No matter ones religious or spiritual beliefs, it seems so much more peaceful and hopeful than the graveside rituals...
