North Korean connection to counterfeit US $100 bills

Last week I heard a story on BBC radio regarding a supposed North Korean counterfeiting operation that had been producing US $100 bills that were virtually undetectable as counterfeits for the last 15 or 20 years. http://news.bbc.co.uk/nol/shared/spl/hi/programmes/panorama/transcripts/superdollar.txt

With the story in the news about the 'Moon coronation' and Moon possibly headed back to Korea, I was reminded of the BBC story and wondered whether there might be any connection. 'Where does Moon get his money from these days?', I'd been asked. Not airports anymore is it.

Since DU didn't have any recent threads on the BBC counterfeiting story, I searched the net and found an article on Korea counterfeiting $100 bills..from 1999. So apparently it has been known a long time.

1. Both N Korea and Iran

have been accused of counterfeiting US bills esp 100's & 20's for years now. That's the reason we've been changing the look of the bills for the last several years.
