It's a strategy we need to adopt. Who is a better witness against this administration than the administration itself. Isn't that Moore's whole premise? I, therefore, offer these two examples that should be placed in an ad:
Voice: There was a time when the executive branch took responsibility for the mistakes of the administration. There was a time when our leaders were engaged in the day-to-day process of the intricacies of U.S. policy.
Cut to clips: 1) Chimpy: "You know, I don't really read the newspapers. I have my people read them and then tell me what's important." (Or whatever the boner-in-chief said).
2) Chimpy: "The Abu Gareff . . .// . . .// . . .// situation."
Voice: There was a time when the executive branch leveled with the American public, when reasons for war were far more than a word game:
Cut to clips: Cheney's clip from his interview with Gloria Borger on Capital Report regarding the Atta relationship with the Czech government followed immediately by his statement, to which Borger was referring, on Meet the Press about this same relationship (see the Daily Show's rendering of the two moments). ***If anyone has the direct quotes, I'd be very appreciative.
Cut to clip: Chimpy: "We will restore honor and dignity back to the White House."
No Voice, just a simple: John Kerry for President 2004.
