Bill Clinton is a beautiful, beautiful person.
Just caught him on Larry King. If you haven't seen him interviewed lately, be sure to catch him next time.

3. Not any more than Reagan was trying to sabotage Bush
Except with Clinton and Kerry, making a comparison tells you they are quite similar.

Comparing Reagan and Bush just tells you that one spoke English and the other can't.

8. i heard it first by
some hard core kerry supporters.
I'm not usually a conspiracy theorist, but if kerry does win, it makes it really hard for Hillary

Makes you stop and think.

Why in the wide world would Bill Clinton want to sabatoge John Kerry? It makes no sense whatsoever.

i'm just repeating what i read here the other day, i'm not trying to cause a problem.

If Kerry wins, that blocks Hillary in 2008. If bush wins in 2004 the election is wide open in 2008, no real incumbent.

27. good question
just seems that she is working towards building a national grass roots effort. But i could be completely misreading the whole thing.
I never thought NY was anything more then a stepping stone. I have no problem with that, i think she would make a great president, much better then kerry.

because they get a lot of milage out of their bizarre hatred of the Clintons. They're mentally unstable -- the rightwing nutbags I mean.

6. Great interview on Fresh Air, on the NPR website...
.. If only some Republicans could open their minds and just listen to the man, without judgement.. they could see how great he was for our country.. how he really did work for the middle and lower class to better their lives.. and what a great, great person he is.

Damn. To have an articulate, intelligent president again.. one that is liked and respected in the world.

26. Thank you!!! That means more to me than you can possibly know!
I'm so tired of DEMs going along with the whole RW talking points, and automatically assuming everything about BC is about sex.

There was so much damage that he caused to poor women, yet *most* dems won't even talk about it. So, those women were dismissed during the "deform", and now, again.

Yet, we're supposed to care about all the other issues....... nope, not until "libruls" can care, in big numbers, about what has happened to poor folk, not just under the RW, but also because of the actions of DEMs.

You really don't know how it marginalizes me, and I've become so discouraged over all this that it's hard some days to evrn care much about anything anymore. So, your one post here means *very* much to me.

Thanks. Very. Much.

Kanary

34. You're blaming the wrong person. Try blaming the GOP who forced...
...welfare reform through the system. Along with the ultra-conservative Dems who went along for the ride, the GOP had more than enough votes to override a veto by Clinton.

If you're going to slam somebody, try to have all of your facts in one sock.

29. oh, got it. misread K's post. Remember, a Republican Congress wrote
those acts and ratified those trade agreements. I think Clinton negotiated some compromise on what the Reublican Congress originally proposed in their welfare plan and cut his losses on signing. Did I agree? No. Would it have gone differently if he vetoed? No. They would have over rode...remember the Gingrich Congress?

25. I tell you what, if a Governor or a President EVER tried sexual
crap with me, I sure would not have waited yrs and yrs and yrs to report it. And I bet these POOR WOMEN aren't poor anymore. I bet the Republicans paid them quite well. I'll bet if there was anything sexual between Clinton and any women that it was approved by both parties. Some of these POOR WOMEN like to be with powerful men (even knowing that they are married) that way they can get what they want for themselves(money, good jobs, jewelry, homes, and ect. SOME OF THESE POOR WOMEN ARE GREEDY AND SELFISH AND IN ORDER TO GET WHAT THEY WANT THEY DON'T CARE WHO GETS HURT!
ELECT KERRY 2004!!!!

28. You are soooo off base..........
Do you actually know what the word "POOR" means?

This has nothing to do with sex........

It's about POVERTY.

Something DEMs obviously don't care much about anymore.

So, take your anger about women somewhere else......... there are women who died because of that man, and if you can't care about that, then .......... then what is there left to care about? Aren't women in this country dying just as important as Iraqis dying?

33. What women died because of Clinton? Last time I looked, the GOP...
...controlled Congress when welfare reform was passed, and they had the votes to override Clinton's veto.

If you want to blame anyone for what happened to people that were forced off the welfare rolls, blame the GOP and some of the ultra-conservative Democrats that went along for the ride.

39. Denying that Clinton was culpable doesn't make it not so.
Ya know, we have to also look closely and critically at our own party if we want to reclaim our country.

Unless you think Zell and his crowd are *good* for us.

11. Clinton was poor once
He understands people who have less because he grew up as one of them.

Regarding Clinton and welfare reform ... Blumenthal makes a lot of excuses for it in his book, but I do think that's a lowlight of Big Dawg's presidency. No one ever claimed the guy was perfect.

16. Forgot how intelligent the guy is and how he has worked to, "converge"
in his words, a public and private life. I admire the hell out of him. He showed the understanding of the nuances of politics and foreign relations that we haven't seen in an American policy for what? almost 4 years. I disagree with some of his decisions,, still, but at least I understand why he made them. Compare that with the "fuck you" administration we have now. AAAAgggghhhh.
