Watching Big Dog on Larry King

I don't understand how ANYBODY doesn't like this guy.

Intelligent, thoughtful, courteous, wise, principled (barring certain indiscretions). The guy's awesome. I disagree with a lot of his policies, but watching this guy talk you just have to respect him.

It's such a relief listening to him, compared with the chimp we have in office currently.

The only thing I haven't liked about him is that he's been agreeing with the chimp too much lately, but he made some important clarifications tonight that I hadn't heard, or hadn't noticed, before.

2. He ALWAYS starts out with flattering points of agreement.

And who have you heard him diss? Kenneth Starr? And even that has been remarkably gentle.

3. Yes I get so tired to the people on the left who feel they must win points

by criticizing him. Do they really think we have not all heard it all before? I do not agree with all of his policies either. So what? Clinton isn't all things to all people, what a shock. :eyes:
In fact I miss the bold brash "you aren't going to take me down" Bill Clinton that so pissed off both the right and the left. (speaking as a member of the almost looney left)
One of my favorite memories of Clinton's presidency was the state of the union address he gave right after the impeachment when he grinned at all the republican stooges sitting there stonefaced refusing to applaud anything he said. They were so pissed and he was so triumphant. It was a brilliant show of strength on his part.

5. that's why they hate him partly

because he is such a good person no matter how disgusting and nasty they get with him. you can take away their negatives and compare them to clinton with his flaws and clinton is STILL a better person than them. i remember at one of those prayer breakfast things they held after the impeachment republican steve largent was sitting up there and clinton spoke and was really kind to largent and acknowledged he had voted to impeach him but still was very kind to him.largent sat with his head down in shame.

6. Yup...I mean, the guy

screwed up pretty bad, but he's probably one of the best presidents we've ever had.

He's the only president I've known during my lifetime (I'm pretty young) whom I believe truly cared about people. He had a real vision for the US and the WORLD, and he just... gave a shit. God, for a president that even GIVES A SHIT. About ANYTHING.
