Not saying your friend didn't see a different segment than I saw but the times they covered it between 6 and 7 a.m. it was professionally reported.

3. The NBC Nightly News showed it during a report on the LA beating. . .

. . .the voice over said "even a cable news morning show made light of it" and then you saw a clip from FAUX & FRIENDS and you could hear the anchors laughing at the beating.
