Then you should find a link to the Hartmann stream in the PeerCast Yellow Pages http://yp.peercast.org

7. If those other users are not DUers

It could be they are Peercast users just flipping around the dial and finding Thom. They must be so surprised to hear a non-confrontrational non-conservative talk radio station.

It is still going great here on my dial-up. Nice and clear, no buffering, no hangs.

12. Whoops, I spoke too soon

Don't know if this buffering was on my line or in the system, but it buffered a long time at about 1:37p. It buffered for almost a whole minute. Seems okay now.

Buffering happens a lot when one relies on a dial-up.

16. Postmortem...

All went off as it should have.

My new system for monitoring the server in case it wedged worked great.

I will begin adding new shows using this same system.

17. I do have a question

It is about ZoneAlarm and Peercast. When Peercast came up ZoneAlarm first asked about giving Peercast access, then it asked if Peercast should be allowed to be a server. On the server question I said yes, when I normally say no for other systems, because P2P relies on the fact my system is part of the server system. Right? Or does it matter whether I said yes or no to the server system question.

Under P2P other computers connect to yours to take your relayed stream which makes that program a server.
