3. How about that veteran who just said...
... that Julianne Malveaux (and anyone else, for that matter) are not allowed to criticize the war unless they are veterans who have seen combat action?

Armstrong Jones continues the 9/11-Saddam Link Lies, as well. It's really quite a humorous program.

9. Yeah, that link thing. It was a UP story in WA Times today that
reports that Al Qaeda & Saddam Hussein had a link in the 1990's. I think we had a link with OBL around that time, didn't we? "Specifically, the documents describe Baghdad agreeing to an al-Qaida request to rebroadcast anti-Saudi sermons across Iraq." - the plot thickens! They are strething it - (IMHO).

==============================

Iraq, al-Qaida cooperated in 1990s
Baghdad, Iraq, Jun. 25 (UPI) -- An apparently authentic document from Saddam Hussein's regime confirms cooperation between Iraq and Osama bin Laden, the New York Times reported Friday.

The Iraqi document, obtained by the newspaper several weeks ago and described by U.S. officials as genuine, describes contacts between Iraqi intelligence agents and bin Laden's al-Qaida when he was in Sudan in the mid-1990s.

Specifically, the documents describe Baghdad agreeing to an al-Qaida request to rebroadcast anti-Saudi sermons across Iraq.

(snip)

The U.S. officials who provided the document to the newspaper confirmed they had obtained it from the Iraqi National Congress, which has recently fallen out of favor in Washington.

8. I don't know but he looked awfully scared there for a second
Just before he cut to break. The informal poll didn't work too well, did it?

Not too many people raised their hands when he asked whether or not the Iraq war was justified. He didn't even bother to really comment on it. The clips of the audience that they showed didn't provide much in the way of support for Bush's War.

The entire argument is the 9/11 - Hussein connection, which doesn't exist. This is insane. How did they pick this panel?

Of course, the first half of the audio was missing from the show because CNN said they were hit by lightening. What I did hear was very enlightening.

28. Iraqis willing to fight with us (on our side) to make this work?
Well, shit Sherlock. It is their country isn't it? Except I remember somebody saying yesterday, 10% of the police force in Iraq consists of insurgents, 30% of their Army runs away when it's time to fight.

I agree with the fact we broke Iraq we have to fix it, but there is no reason to continue to delude ourselves about this war.

What? And this war was pre-empted by 22 years of terrorism against the US? By who? Saddam? No. We were supplying Saddam with WMD back then. God help us.
