I think it will backfire though. The people who really care and want the FMA will not vote for Kerry anyway. And the people like me who are totally against will love the fact that he stood up to them and said NO WAY. In fact, some of my fence sitting friends or friends who don't vote, could be persuaded by that issue alone. Go ahead and mobilize the gay community Frist.
