Really weird Cheney statement(s): we told Saddam of al Zarqawi
Cheney says "we" arranged for Hussein to know al Zarqawi was in Baghdad - and he does this in the same sentence he claims Zarqawi was running a "poison factory" that we "found". It's completely strange - why would we have to tell Hussein al Zarqawi was in Iraq making Saddam's alleged WMD? That does appear to be what Cheney is saying - anybody have an alternate theory on what Cheney meant?

Also, what is this claim that we found a "poison factory"? I've heard the claim about it, but not that it was found ... and right after Cheney says we "found" it, he says the explanation for why we never found anything was because we destroyed the facility.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,123794,00.html

Saddam Hussein knew <al Zarqawi> was in Baghdad because we arranged to have that information passed to — to a third country intelligence service. In Baghdad, he ran the poisons facility, largest poisons facility we've ever found that al Qaeda was operating up in northeastern Iraq. He had about two dozen associates with him in Baghdad from an outfit called Egyptian Islamic Jihad, which had merged with al Qaeda.

Zawahiri, who's bin Laden's number two, used to run the EIJ. And all of them, that operation, was in Baghdad prior to the time we launched in there.

He's a man who ordered the killing of Laurence Foley. He tried to smuggle riacin and other products out of that poisons factory. People had been trained in the poisons factory in order to..

(CROSSTALK)

CAVUTO: Where is all that stuff now? Where are all those?

CHENEY: Well, we destroyed the facility when we went in and...

CAVUTO: Right.

CHENEY: ... we launched air strikes on them when we first went in.

1. He doesn't mention that the northern part of Iraq
Wasn't even under Saddam's control. That's where we were flying over, and where Bush could have bombed Zarqawi.

Oops. God, Cheney is the most evil of them all, I think.

4. In his defense
He doesn't deny he swore, and "probably" is obviously an embarrassed attempt at humor.

The thing about the US telling Hussein al Zarqawi was in Baghdad is totally bizarre however - we informed Hussein he had a relationship with al Qaeda?

3. Pure desperation
Letting us know that 'we' were in contact with SH all the while, is a sign of pulling out all the stops in a campaign to save face.

Dick sounds like a kid who's been caught doing something bad and in order to save his own skin has begun releasing sordid details of his crime.

Hey Dick! You're going down. Get used to it, you're just about history.

5. How Much Further Does This Major League Asshole Get A Pass?
Look at how he's not just staying with the lie, he's embellished it. Not to convince the 99% of the world that knows he's full of shit, but the 1% of Freeper, War Profiteers, Christian demogogues and Racists! His job is to build the lie higher and deeper so it keeps sticking no matter how much fact contradicts it. If anything, when he's confronted with facts, he ignores them and lies even deeper.

This is incredibly pathological...and so dangerous! He doesn't have a second thought about the consequences of his nearly 30 years of destroying this government and country and he is cock sure he's not only right, but he'll get even more. I'm sure someone with far more than my college Psych 101-102 could build one hell of a profile...or definitely material for a best seller.

It's incredible that Al Gore got "gored" for exagerating things he never did or for his eccentric nature, but Crashcart gets the pass. It's because the media fears him. He's gotta have a J. Edgar Hoover file or something as he's being protected by the media in the Plame matter and never is called into question for the many very serious judgement calls this asshole's claimed to have made (in essence saying he, on his orders alone, took control of the government on 9/11 while Bunnypants was running for his worthless life).

In my book, this is War Criminal #1!!!

7. I find the first clame most interesting
That "Saddam Hussein knew <al Zarqawi> was in Baghdad because we arranged to have that information passed to — to a third country intelligence service."

Why the hell would we want to hook up Hussein and Zarqawi?
