1. We loved his
Cheney imitation and my son about fell out of the chair when he mentioned Freedom Tickling. It was a good interview.

2. My husband is a physicist
he is not interested in "the little things".

He tells me all the time, that it's time right now to leave!

I met him in Germany, when he did social service instead of military service in that hospital, where I was working as a CEO-secretary.

So I was his super wiser, while he did his pacifist work instead of going into weapon service!

Thats now 24 years ago and our destiny brought us to the United States of America!!

He had a very good idea, and that created the wireless telecommunication all over the world.

So you people might think, I'm one of those crazy people, creating something, BUT........

We created so many working places for Americans in this country, that we don't feel like, we should leave right now!

We will leave, when Bush is getting reelected but we will take very good care, that our workers will not get damaged by that.

6. That's somehow
a "Thank you note" to this Land.

When we started to feel home (1996) we where proud to bee very soon (members of this Land)
We received our Green Card In Jan. 2003, but very soon after that we felt, we will not apply for citizenship.

We planned to apply after 5 years, but under Bush and his administration, we are right now on the run!

We have a very good possibility in Swizzerland, we might move, but not before we know, what's going on here in our land we love so much

14. Elf, this country is going through a terrible, terrible time
and very dangerous. As you well know.

We still have a chance. The election, obviously, is key -- whether it even happens or not, whether we've got an October Surprise or not to manipulate citizen emotions, whether the voting machines and other vote suppression techniques are successful or not, etc.

Anyway, I'm glad you're here -- here in the U.S., here at DU -- and I hope that conditions will improve sufficient for you to see fit to stay. If not, be sure to stay with us on DU from wherever you find yourself.

8. Caller Question - Why Has Media Stopped Asking Questions
Jon said, that is a very good question and then talked about the fact that the media is famous, and wants to maintain access with the power brokers - so the media can't do its job for fear of losing its job.

He was really good.

I also liked his comment that he was more angry about the administration's refusal to respond to/accept criticism about the problems in Iraq than he was about their actual decisions to go to Iraq. "I can live with incompetence, he said, but not self righteous incompetence."
