Yay for Jennifer Granholm. As attorney general she went after gas stations who gouged after 9/11 and won.

Side note: anyone who believes they paid too much for any thing from water to generators is asked to forward their receipts to the Attorney General's office.

The AG in Michigan will address this price gouging. Jennifer Granholm, during her tenure as MI's AG was really great about that sort of thing. Nailed gouging opportunists superbly. You know, folks who rip off the people? Those are bad guys.

Oh, and I'd sure like to see Rove or any member of the gang try to push Granhom around! hahaha!!!!!!! Don't be fooled by the pretty package!!

4. Michigan's current AG is a Republican (Mike Cox)

But the Office of Attorney General is always consumer-oriented here (a legacy of the Little Giant, Frank Kelley). AGs here respond to the voters concerns. It's how they get re-elected (and Cox is a first-termer).

6. I know Cox is an R but

I think Granholm will see to it he does his job, plus, he absolutely has to if he wants to get re-elected. Righto on the Kelly thing too. He set high standards, Granholm upheld them and Cox better, if he knows what's good for his political future.

An agent of the state should then run the business until the emergency is over.

Capitalism and emergencies are two things that should not mix.
