There's always one outstanding gem of a quote in their threads. I think this one is it in this one:

<To: cabrera

Maybe if the lefties put down the peace pipe and stop having gay sex for a couple minutes they'll get the real numbers.

33. Some of us remember
that Reagan's "economics" was first called "supply side economics", then "trickle-down economics", then "Reaganomics" and finally "Voodoo Economics". By hid second term it was thoroughly discredited.

While General Electric became the first U.S. corporation under Reagan not to pay any federal corporate taxes in history, people were living out of their cars and committing suicide after being laid off, losing their homes and their families. After all, Reagan was just paying a debt, duh, for GE allowing him to host "General Electric Theater" for years, after his B-movie acting career crashed and burned.

Now it doesn't even make the news that over 60% of U.S. corporations pay no corporate federal taxes. And "trikle-down" has become "tricle out" (to India and China) "economics" under Cheney/Bush. :puke:

He says Bush is an idiot so Blair should have known better. He gathered so much on Blair while making this one he's saving it for his next movie!

7. They know I like the peace-pipe and gay-sex - who knew?
And they know there were only really like 800 or 1000 people at that protest in Feb2003 where I stood amongst hundreds of thousands of people in 15 degree weather screaming about the things Moore has exposed in this film

Douchebags, the lot of 'em!!!

If they want to continue to think that 'success' for this film can be measured in financial terms then they are even more fucking stupid than I thought.

Do you regret it? .... No.
ROTFLMAO!!! Cheney's honesty just rammed a potential "issue" back into the D's faces. Now they can't challenge him on it without it becoming known why Cheney was pissed -- and that will make Leahy look bad.

I believe Mr. Cheney may well be the unacknowledged master of the "accidental" microphone. He's certainly two for two....

Well, of course, he doesn't regret it. The VP is a thinker, he isn't impulsive, he doesn't lose control and say things he doesn't mean. Leahy had had that coming for a long time and the VP delivered. Big Time does, indeed, ROCK.

"The VP is a thinker, he isn't impulsive, he doesn't lose control and say things he doesn't mean." Amazing misread of Cheney and his actions.....or pure denial of the obvious.

21. Freeper Math
If Freepers were any good at math (or telling the truth) they would know that Jim Robinson's claim of 150,000 members claims is a huge lie. There are less than 4000 active posters on the whole putrid website. Robinson and Bush are both trying to sell the big lie.

30. If anyone dares to post over there you need to mention
to them that I saw it in a theater in Plano, Texas tonight, supposedly VERY conservative area of TX and every single showing was sold out with lines going out the lobby into the street and AROUND the freaking theater.

It opened at 45 locations in Texas and from what I have gathered from friends in other cities, there was not a showing today that wasn't sold out.

They are showing it in COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, for crying out loud. COLLEGE STATION! The home of Texas A&M University, one of the most proudly and deeply conservative schools in the NATION.

Think about THAT for a second.

32. Considering that they've increased the number of screens...

...and the number of show times ALL over the country, I wouldn't be surprised if the film grosses more than the $22 Million currently projected for this weekend.

By the way, does anyone know where I can find information on what films gross week by week?

'Fahrenheit 9/11' Tops $8M in First Day
By DAVID GERMAIN

LOS ANGELES - "Fahrenheit 9/11," Michael Moore's assault on President
http://itemonline.com/articles/2004/06/27/ap/headlines/d83f3ub00.txt

Bush, took in $8.2 million to $8.4 million in its first day, positioning it as the weekend's No. 1 film, its distributors said Saturday.

Based on Friday's numbers, "Fahrenheit 9/11" was on track for an opening weekend that would surpass the $21.6 million total gross of Moore's "Bowling for Columbine," his 2002 film that earned him an Academy Award for best documentary.

"Bowling for Columbine" holds the record for highest domestic gross among documentaries, excluding concert films and movies made for huge-screen IMAX theaters.

Friday grosses for "Fahrenheit 9/11" ran about $1.5 million ahead of its closest competitor, the Wayans brothers comedy "White Chicks." The performance of "Fahrenheit 9/11" was even more remarkable considering it played in just 868 theaters, fewer than a third the number for "White Chicks."

39. More theaters
will be showing F9/11 as a result of its huge draw this weekend.

Even here in San Diego, I've noticed that more and more theaters decided just this week to run it, given all the publicity. Now it seems it's everywhere here.

If you owned a theater, wouldn't you want to be playing F9/11, if only for monetary reasons???
