On the Frist letter..only 1 senator contacted me.you will never guess who

Joe Biden...Yep and it was not automated. He mentioned the veterans issues that I talked about and he is the only one who responded. I have received a zillion emails automated. This was not automated.He made tht clear. It sure shocked me. He also asked me to call him.
I am from Ga. not Delaware and he was interested in that letter.
You just never know...At least I knw someone up there got it and responded. Shocked me that it was Joe Biden. I sent it to all of them !

1. I know joe is not the most popular senator here

But I love the guy. He has been relentless in trying to push this iraq war debavle in the right direction from the get go. It doesnt suprise me for a second that he took an interest in your letter.

I only wish he had run for president this election.

2. Well...He responded saying..those vet issues needed to be

put forth and to give him a call and it really did surprise me . I thought that maybe Kennedy might write or even Reid from Nevada or Hillary but it was Joe Biden and that shocked me.

4. I dont know why

Joe clearly cares about our military. If you have been paying attention to him all along everything he has fought for has been an effort to do everything possible to make sure that if they did indeed go into this crap war that they had the most favorable backing behind them possible. Many here rail against him for what they percieve as his support for the war when what he realy does day in and day out is try to support the troops.

Before this war started no one fought harder than him to try to ensure that we didnt go into this thing alone. Clearly from the begining he did not want to see this mess hapen but always he resigned himself that if it was going to hapen he would do everything possible to try to make sure that our boys whent in with as much suport as was possible. He railed against this administrations go it alone bravado before this thing got off the ground and has continued to do so since.

Joe is a class act in my book and his response to you doesnt suprise me for a second.

I hope his response to you makes you take a second look at him as I think he has been treated very unfairly on this site by many.

The man has shown the willingness to stand up to this administration and any amunition you can throw his way to help him can only be a good thing!

I wouldnt be suprised at all to see him use your letter in some way to help push for better treatment and suport for our vets.

3. Joe Biden is a far better person than some here make him out to be

he is a really good man who does really care about the people. i can understand people disagreeing with him on things at times. but he is not nearly a bad person as some here try to make him out to be.

6. I know..I loved the way he ripped into Ashcroft but you would think Edward

would have responded but then again.....He is on some pretty heavy duty committes. I just was shocked to be frank that any responded. Did you know the ones I emailed instead of faxing did not even send an automated response. That is strange. Maybe I will get a letter in the mail from some of them, maybe not. I take that back I did not send Zell a letter. or Chambliss. I left my own senators out ! LOL

7. Yes, and...

Biden was sensational at the Senate Judiciary Committee grilling
of John Ashcroft.
He stood up for us Americans and called Ashcroft on the carpet
for with-holding the memos on torturegate.
He impressed me as being a true representative of the people.
