I was looking at the GD forum and I have a lot today... But I am so happy to be connected to reality again!!!
I went to "orientation" for college for my son... Met some parents there... Three women sitting next to me were saying that their kids were not allowed to attend this University unless they agreed to join the "Christian Campus Crusade..." So I said, "I don't think my son will have any trouble finding groups to join. In high school he was a member of the gay/straight alliance, the "ACLU", antiwar protests, etc. She looked at me with this horrified look. After this, I turned to the parent on the other side of the table and we did not communicate much...

4. I think the poster meant that the mothers told their kids

that they couldn't come to this college unless they obeyed their mothers and joined the Christian group.

My guess is that their coerced into Christian organization children will be a lot wilder than the kid who was in ACLU in high school.
