F 911 -will it hold until November?

I have read various reports on the success of Fahrenheit 9/11 by Micheal Moore. By all accounts, America HUNGERS to hear an alternative view - the long long line ups, and the overall positive feedback so far is encouraging for those of us who do not support Bush.

My question to DUer's - Do you think the overall atmosphere generated by the movie will hold firm until the election in November? Allot can and will happen before then. I must admit, I have yet to see the film, but will once it gets around up here.

...Moore would take time to shoot some additional footage at both conventions, throw it into the DVD along with outtakes, and use it to sweeten the pot.

With the capabilities of digital technology, it's completely plausible. Plus, it could push the release back closer to October.

I fear that releasing the DVD as early as 8 weeks before the election might be too much. You want Bush's poll numbers to quickly drop as close to the election as possible in order to give them less time to spring another "surprise" on everyone. A month of rentals is more than enough to disseminate the message.

Reports that places like Wal-Mart refuse to carry the DVD and Blockbuster refuses to offer it for rental will only give it more publicity!

because a shift in consciousness is occurring and reaching critical mass. You can't undo it - once people see the light there is no going back to the darkness.

The movie itself may not be on everyone's tongue by then, but change in mass perception will only gain momentum.

How to do this? How long will this effect last?

AS LONG AS YOU MAKE IT LAST.

As long as YOU BACK IT UP, with your friends, with fence-sitters, with acquaintances from the enemy camp, with people who just don't pay any attention. As long as YOU BACK IT UP with the facts YOU know, as well. As long as YOU keep the story alive.

And not just you. WE ALL are in the post-production department of this movie. We ALL are the rear guard, to anticipate and to meet, head-on, any naysayers and people who refuse to see the movie because they just "know" it's all lies. The Lisa Myers pod people of the world, who are here to be the "truth squad" and "debunk" the lies are certainly out there trying to challenge and tarnish the film. You okay with just sitting back and allowing that? And letting them get the upper hand AGAIN????? You okay with just shrugging it off and saying "oh well, nothing we can do"?

It's EVERYBODY'S responsibility, EVERYBODY WHO WANTS bush OUT, EVERYBODY WHO WANTS OUR COUNTRY BACK AND THESE VERMIN COMPLETELY DISCREDITED, SET BACK POLITICALLY FOR YEARS, WAY AWAY FROM POWER, AND BEHIND BARS WHERE THEY BELONG. That's you. And that's me. And that's everybody on this thread. And that's everybody on this forum. And that's everybody we know. And everybody else THEY know. And everyone else of like mind.

It means CONSTANT reinforcements. It means sending the Cavalry in (all of US) and keeping it in there. It means fighting til we finally win this thing.

The buzz of the movie does not have to fade. Neither does its impact. Unless you let it...

How? Keep spreading the truth. Keep driving around with the bumper stickers on your car. Keep making comments in the checkout line at the store, or while you're out with people. Keep reading and staying informed, and spreading the information wherever and whenever you can. Keep writing letters to the editor. Keep calling CNN and MSNBC and other news outlets to complain when they get it wrong. Keep trying to get through on one of those talk shows. Keep telling the truth. Keep reinforcing and confirming and verifying what Michael Moore said and revealed.

Or you can roll over and go back to sleep like the media's done from day one. Then you can proudly be part of the problem rather than the solution.
