What? No cats?
Did anyone see the NATURE program on the amazing cat on PBS Thursday?

They talked about how cats might actually be able to predict earthquakes. They run around in circles, act really frightened, run off, etc. just prior to earthquakes.

I think I finally fiqured out what Patches is saying to me more than half the time:
"Get out of the building - NOW!!!"

2. Yup. I had a cat that could do that. Avoided the floor for 2 days
prior to Northridge quake in '94.

To navigate the house, he hopped from table, to couch, to chair, to countertop, all to avoid walking on the floor. He did this repeatedly for days. I thought it was odd, then we had the quake and it made sense to me. He felt something in the ground we can't, and he didn't like being on the ground. Interesting, huh?
