I Want To Know Who The "It's All Staged!" Woman Is.
Edited on Sat Jun-26-04 08:50 PM by TheWatcher
The one moment that has burned itself into my mind after seeing F 9/11 last night was that ridiculously heartless piece of human waste that jumped in front of Lila saying "It's all Staged! It's all Staged."

I want to know who this woman is. I want to know here name. I want the entire WORLD to know her name and who she is.

And I want the World to know this is NOT what America is about. She does NOT represent us.

For the past four years these shrill little maggots shave stomped about doing whatever they please, bullying and shouting down anyone who opposed "Great Leader" and his band of thugs in their crusade against all that is right and just.

They have done their best to make the lives of everyone who doesn't think like them or tow the line miserable.

It's time to turn the tables on them.

It's time to put the spotlight on THEM.

Come out of you wall you little cockroach.

Let's see you stand in the face of scrutiny now.

Let's see you shrill and bellow about how this is all "staged" now.

Let's see you defend "Great Leader" now.

It's YOUR turn to feel the heat.

The most striking things about people like her and all the freeper parasites is that even when they are caught, and they KNOW they are wrong, they KNOW they are the asshole, they KNOW they have made the wrong call, and they KNOW they have SHIT out of turn, is they do not have enough self-respect or dignity to ADMIT it, and be accountabole for their actions.

You could see that in her reation last night.

"Well.....Uh, Lot's of other people died too."

WHat the fuck IS that?

What does that MEAN?

Miserable Cowards.

Miserable Failures.

Miserable WASTES OF TIME.

I hate every single one of you, and what you have allowed to happen to this country.

Now, watch THIS Drive.

The one where we Drive you back into the walls like the cowardly cockroaches you are.

The Tables have TURNED.

We are taking this country back.

Either help, or GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE WAY.

And as for Lila's tormentor.....

Show Yourself. Let the world know who you are.

I DARE YOU.

24. dupe = "duplicate post."
Usually, "dupe" means that another discussion on this topic is already raging somewhere in the forum.

It can also mean that a poster mistakenly posted a reply twice. I prefer to attribute that kind of dupe to buggy software. }(

Whenever I've duped, I only hit submit once. It takes an extra long time to go through and then there are two of them! I read something about it on the Ask an Administrator board and it is a gliche in the software.

6. Did you watch the movie???
After that, Mrs. Lipscolm said it wasn't that woman's fault, she was just ignorant, just like she had been.

That was the point of the movie, to make people see they were wrong. Pointing fingers and calling names doesn't help our effort.

36. Another definition
In earlier times, yellow roses were given to convey jealousy. Today, the yellow rose is given to celebrate a new beginning, express an apology or sympathy, and to say, "remember me." Yellow roses are appropriate for marking the beginning of a new life together or for starting all over again.

7. Wow!
I feel exactly the same way. I want to know who this woman is. I want to know about her. I want to know her situation. How did she come to this? Why is it that Lila had to move away from her? She didn't have the decency to apologize and leave the scene, Lila had to get away from her. How do you come to that point in your life, where you harangue a woman whose son died for his country? And feel smug and smarmy about it? What the fark have we come to in this country?

Looking back on the words I wrote I can see where your point is definitely on the mark.

I lost someone close to me as well in this conflict. SOmeone who was one of my best friends, and left behind a Wife of 25 years of age, who is suffering from MS, and a five year-old son.

Last night seeing that released all the anger and hate I have been feeling towards people like that woman for some time.

Ultimately I know the senitments that you and sgr have expressed need to come forth, and we need to overwhelm has has come to pass with enilightenment and understanding, not hate and anger.

But after 9/11, this war, all the wretched things these people have done, and the enabling idiots who have locked step with them in blind ignorant fury, the anger is hard to contain. It is hard to turn your back on those feelings.\

On Edit: I was actually shaking when I typed this, so spelling must be corrected.

I, and many others I expect, are going to have to sort them through.

I've had to sort out the anger and hate too. Maybe I find it easier to have hope for the ignorant sheeple because I used to be one of them. I know that it's possible for people to change if they are made aware of the facts. F911 is a big step. Getting the ignorant ones who have blind faith to see the movie is another story. But....a little at a time.

I have to reign in the anger and hate too. I have my moments for sure! (I wore my "Whole Lotta Dumbass" shirt to the movie yesterday - it has pictures of Bush and Cheney all over it. Embarrassed my husband a little ;))

12. If you succumb to hating freepers, you turn into one of them.
The point Mr. Moore is making is these people hate, they don't think independently, they just judge and prosecute without reason. They forget that all of us are important life, even if you live in the middle east and happen to be born under a Muslim household, you have value. BUT freepers believe THEY are the only life of value because of some silly belief that their God of hate and killing and prosecution and damnation is the ONLY God.

Please don't hate them, please don't become them, the only thing to do is turn the light on THEIR hate toward people and show the sensible people in this world that these people are dangerous. They will bomb abortion clinics in the name of God, they will kill Doctors in the name of Pro-life, the only lives they value are the lives that are in the womb. They don't believe that life outside of the womb is precious and worthy to live. Ask any of them, do you think it's okay to kill someone during war and they'll support Bush. They are the epitome of hypocrites and Mr. Moore is showing the masses this. The truth will set us all free...so don't be mad or vengeful toward this bitter, judgmental, self-righteous idiot who probably has never had an independent moral thought of her own. She knows not what she does....we have to be above the fray.

Peace and love...

PS: I'm seeing the movie tomorrow! I can't wait!

Edited on Sat Jun-26-04 09:16 PM by TheWatcher
Who jumped in front of the camera saying "It's all Staged! It's all Staged!", and then when Lila told her she ahd lost her son, she dmanded to know where and what date, as if Lila was lying.

She was the epitome of freeper. Low Brow, shrill, and completely unrelenting.

Like I said, one of my best friends died too last year because of "Great Leader's" War, and that's why it affected me so harshly.

The anger is so hard to overcome.

I think they have to sign a release to be in a movie or else if he didn't get one, he may get sued for exposing her. True. Then wouldn't that be a kick..because people would really be mad. Remember the old candid camera thins..they have to sign to be used in movies. This would not apply to Public Figures..but private citizens..unless the law changed would have to sign off on their image. Wait a minute...people get put on the news all the time without signing so ..wow..I don't know. And we are photographed in stores and stuff..I don't know..I just don't know anymore.

I don't hate this woman.

But I do want her to be accountable for her actions.

Still, I'm conflicted. I heard Clinton say in a recent interview, "No one should be judged on the basis of their worst moment."

Well, that seems fair.

Perhaps this was her worst moment. Lila Lipscomb seemed to be able to look at the bigger picture. But I am not there yet.

I still want her to be exposed.

That's me. I'm trying to evolve, but I'm just not able to forgive her actions.

42. Is it possible that even freepers can change? Who knows, really?
It's nice to have a place like DU to vent, especially after something so horrible has happened to friends and loved ones. I'm sorry to hear on this thread about the losses of loved ones.

I have a hunch there will be a lot of people with similar experiences who see this movie and experience some real anger and hatred for awhile - emotions they thought they had worked through but have kind of like a delayed reaction. It's got to be a tough thing, and that anger has to have somewhere to go. As somone else suggested, maybe it can eventually be channeled into doing something to keep these things from ever happening again.

I wouldn't be surprised if that's one of the reasons that RWers have always tried to pretend there was nothing wrong with the Vietnam War, why they won't acknowledge that the U.S. could ever have been so wrong, to get involved and stay for so long in such a senseless war. Maybe they've been afraid of all the emotions that could be unleashed by confrontations about it. And it's happening again, except this time they're not afraid of the spread of Communism, but of "terra." And they're also encouraged to be afraid (wasn't that the point of the movie?). It's a really unhealthy mindset, of course, and ultimately these folk are the ones who end up with twisted thoughts, emotions and psyches.

I'm not going through a particular grief like that right now, so it's easier for me to say, but personally I don't want to say that people (at least most of them, even freepers) are unredeemable. That's simplistic, black-and-white, freeperthink and I don't think we really want to go there (at least not permanently). I do think hatred is a natural reaction to seeing/experiencing something like this and some people never get over that, and I'm sure it takes a long time sometimes to work through it.

About 25 years ago, Studs Turkel interviewed a former KKK member from NC in one of his books, and the man told his story about how much he used to hate MLK, Jr. until he actually read some of his writings. He said that changed him, and he did a complete about-face and soon began to join others in the civil rights movement. More recently, I've heard of at least 2 stories of former skinheads from somewhere in the U.S. who changed their minds and their lives and now are trying to help the other side.

So it's not impossible for someone with such despicable attitude & behavior to somehow see the light. If that ever happens to her, or anyone else, that person will be completely rejected by their ignorant friends of the past, and will need a supportive community who can help her continue to see the light. The possibilities of all those things happening are pretty remote, but you never know. It even seems that Lila was able to imagine how people act out of ignorance, especially since she had herself changed.

I'm hoping that at least some would-be freepers will see this movie, watch that scene and recognize themselves in that woman who harassed Lila, and vow to change. That may sound far-fetched, but you never know. Miracles could happen...

(sorry this post was like a lecture)

46. Powerful post there, TheWatcher. BUT, better to be a teacher,...
,...than a preacher, with exceptions,...in my humble view.

Sure, there are those who will NOT be stirred from denial without complete confrontation. However, most people,...just know what they are "fed" (and told will keep them "safe") and they need a teaching over a beating.

The worst part is,...teaching is awakening people from a,...fantasy into which they have been intentionally programmed. We have to work on replacing the pot of gold that does not exist at the end of the American rainbow,...with something solid.

I would suggest eachother.
