Because of the riding breakdown. Canada will become BUsh's bitch.

It's unfortunate, but the US economy does drive many world economies to a large degree.

When we swing hard-right, it causes other countries to pull to the right as as well.

Even into an inferno. I have no doubt of that. Canada is a free democracy,united to western EUrope and the Usa,we live and die together. Right now your leaders are leading us to war.

That it might mean that as a percentage of the the votes the Liberals are ahead by some polls but that the number of seats that they win will be less than the conservatives. The election is too close to call with much certainty. It is first past the post for each riding (seat).
Please find attached a site that might explain the workings in more detail. There are also additional sites at the bottom that I have not looked at.
