Freeper reactions to F9/11 sell outs?
Anyone with the cast iron tummy see what the auto-lobotomized have been saying about the attendence levels?

From a close friend, I've been told, in no uncertain terms, that Fox knows best, therefore they refuse to give Mr. moore any money, but they still "know" the movie is plain wrong. Freeper heaven -
"don-chu give me no facts, man, all they do is make me think - and that hurts too much!"

Gotta love that see no evil attitude, dude.

3. Scary, huh. And yet there are liberals wading into the fray
to do battle with them. :)

4. I've Done That Before
but I lost my taste for battle a couple of months ago. Perhaps it's time to take up sword and shield once again. DU has been an oasis for me, but it's too easy to become complacent.

5. Stay put
You are not being complacent. Trying to convince them is a waste of time. Do something for Moveon, a Dem campaign instead.

16. Excellent suggestion!!
robbedvoter is right... fighting their closed minds is futile, and you'd be wasting precious time and energy. The election is only months away; it's time to volunteer for Kerry, or even better, one of your local Dem Congressional candidates!

20. IMHO, no act that is activism is wasted time
if all of us-every Dem- chages just one mind, we win.

7. I was surprised
at how anti-bush the christian forum was. not just about Cheney's fucktalk, (Sheeesh, they take that real personally) but about the movie. Those who have seen it seem to think (is that permissible for a christian) that the movie makes great points and that our president has some problems with truth and veracity.

Some of the other forays into fora of unknown origin, less psychotic than I expected, especially is some actually saw the movie.

18. Sorry, but I have to take exception
With your comment that Christians can't think. There are many liberal Christians, believe it or not. Very heavily into social causes--soup kitchens, food banks, health care of elderly or infirm. They all aren't automotons--some of them are good people. Not willing to judge or condemn anyone else for their beliefs. Honestly....just saying.

19. But there are Christians and "christians". Unfortunately, nowadays
many people who make a big production of their purported faith are in direct opposition to the teachings of their own icon. They're actually Paulinists (Paulists?) and cleave to the moronic epistles of a guy (Saul, the terrorist of Tarsus) who never even met Jesus and ignore what JC allegedly said. I'm an atheist who agrees with just about everything attributed to Hay-soos...how's that for irony?
;-)

21. I know there are non-christian Christians..
there is Corpus Dei--a Catholic fundie group (Scalia and Thomas are in it); there are snake wielding Baptist churches and so on. But there are good Christians too. I daresay you would probably find compassionate, nonjudgemental folks in those fundamentalist groups as well, though probably not many and probably not very LOUD!!! Whatever happened to civility and the right to worship as you choose--PRIVATELY? Oh well.....

has way more liberals than I would have imagined. Nice to see something with "Christian" in the name isn't full of frothing fundies.

I do not mean to say that my agnosticism is better than your faith, and if you took any of several of my posts that way, please forgive and forget.

My beliefs are mine, yours are yours. no way will I want to change your ideas.

I sometimes despair of religion, since mostly what we see in the mainstream media are the right-wing extremists.

15. There are wise people on every spiritual path. You may not
know that you have seen them, though, because they don't get in your face like the zealots do.

17. Yes.
Unfortunately, I've allowed big media to define religion for me--probably explains in part why it turns me off so much.
