If they were planning the Iraq war before Bush was selected,

2. They've already let it be known that they have their eyes on Iran and
Syria. Lebanon isn't totally out of the question (I think).

But they may have their hands full with what they've already bitten off.

3. Well, what nation has a resource that the BFEE wants?
That should answer the question.

4. Iran, Syria
Maybe it was North Korea but they got nukes now so they won't do it. Lesson to learn: keep going for the nukes and then the US will not touch you.

8. Good chart. Here it is in terms of the same year's GDP ...
Edited on Sun Jun-27-04 10:23 PM by TahitiNut
... with actuals from the FY2003 fiscal year and better FY2004 est. When you're talking about a 2004 GDP of above $11 trillion, those little percentages add up. (The debt is now over $7.5 trillion.)

BTW ... I don't include the Social Security Trust Fund surplus. That began to pile up in the Reagan/Bush years due to the excess payroll taxation.

6. Use of nuclear weapons whenever they feel like it. They've been
putting military commanders in control that are pro-nuke. They've tried getting money from Congress for nuclear weapons research. They have 60 countries they want to invade and the American public is not going to put up with that many dead soldiers. And neither is the rest of the world. But if he uses nukes, no civilians left to torture so no worry about war crimes. Plus he doesn't need that many soldiers.
