Just out of curiousity, any DUers have a shot at being a delegate to the National Convention next year?

1. I'm trying but I don't know the prosedures as of yet. |

In 2000 I was out of the country durring some important part. But I did manage to get to the state convention. In Washington and cacus states it's easier I guess than in states with a primary. But I think the procedures for becoming a delegate vary widly from state to state.

2. This is how to do it in Minnesota |
|
1. Attend your precinct caucus (March 2) and get yourself elected to your Senate District or County Unit convention
2. Attend the Senate Ditrict or County Unit convention get yourself elected to the State Convention. Note: If you are a delegate to the state convention you are also a delegate to your Congressional District convention.)
3. 1/2 of the National delegates are elected at the Congressional District conventions, the other half are elected at the state convention.
Be prepared to finance your own trip to Boston. There is suppose to be some help available but I don't know how much that amounts to.
