I agree. As much as I dislike her, I get tired of hearing about Karen Hughes' weight, too. I think we can be better than that. They give us plenty to criticize in their words and deeds -- what they look like shouldn't matter (unless there is some hypocricy involved.)

just like he is (of course the health stuff yes yes I know). I guess cuz that is how he looks and I think the world of him and so it is all good. If they made him into a teddy bear, I would buy one. I know that sounds silly, but he makes me feel like there is someone looking out for me and I appreciate that.

Bias against fat people is rampant in our society. It can be couched under concern for health which IMHO is just as demeaning. Don t you think fat people know they are at risk. I know of no fat person who chooses to be that way. Those who have struggled and have successfully lost know how hard it is. Not only is it rampant in our society at large we see it here on DU pretty much on a daily basis. It is offensive and disgusting.
