They keep going and going and going....You might think this Michael Moore story would have died some time last week. At least, if the shoe had been on the liberals feet, it would not have continued through this week. But, it seems like the Repubs are only getting started on the FH-9/11 film. They can't get over it. They are searching for a credible response and they refuse to give up until they find one. So far, they have only attacked Moore moreso than his facts. They are making accusations without the examples to back 'em up. They are obsessed and just keep on going and going and going and.....

1. At some point, "staying on message" becomes ...

the equivalent of the little boy who just won't admit he ate his sister's birthday cake, all the while his face covered in chocolate frosting. It serves no purpose, and the punishment will likely be more severe.

The GOP knows no other way: dig in and never, ever admit fault. Even if you have to blame the dog.

2. They know if they repeat the lie enough, people will think it's the truth

The old tried-and-true fascist tact, y'know.

Rethugs are probably panicked out of their minds and they know they can't really argue against the facts so, as always, they resort to personal attacks, hyperbole/exaggeration, and lies. It usually works for them, but there's so much for them to defend with this administration overall, I don't know how they're going to get the upper hand on this one.

Normally, they're able to keep going and going and going because their money keeps flowing and flowing and flowing...

I'm naive enough, maybe, to believe that the TRUTH - something that freepers can't completely destroy - will eventually set this country FREE!
