Green Party in Canadian election hurt Liberal Party? |
|
I think I heard a commentator say that if all the liberals had stayed together in the Canada election, the Liberal Party would've won big time.
The Green Party doubled its presence percentage-wise in this election. I guess he's counting the Green Party as a sub-party of the Liberal Party.
If so....is this an indication that the Green Party could do some damage to teh Dems in America?

1. isn't Canada based on proportional representation? |

Which is obviously a much fairer system than what we Americans have. So, even if the leftist parties do not gain a majority individually, they still each get seats, and they can still work together to defeat the right.
