Which Fahrenheit 9/11 moments got the biggest cheers when you saw it?

I saw it on Friday at a 1:35pm showing that was sold out and I can't wait to see it again! It was a very receptive crowd that applauded at many times during the film. Two moments stood out for me as getting the biggest applause from the audience:

1. The scene where the Representatives were being shouted down in the Senate for not having one Senator listed on their objection to Bush's theft and one Rep (I think it was McKinney, I've got to see it again) said, "I don't have a Senator and I don't care!" That got huge applause even before the opening credits.

2. A moment in Iraq where a soldier responds, "If Donald Rumsfeld was here today, I'd ask for him to resign". That got MAJOR cheers in my theatre.

I'm curious what other people experienced as far as their theatre erupting in applause. I saw it in Burbank, California, so it'll be interesting to see how different parts of the country responded.

1. I think it was Maxine Waters.

Those scenes both received a lot of applause both times I viewed the movie. :)

2. Moore's name on the screen

Michael Moore's name during the opening credits got a large cheer.

To me, the funniest moment was the brief skim of Eric Clapton's "Cocaine" when they showed the document of Bush's suspension from the military.

25. The "Cocaine" clip went over everyone's head in my theater.

I thought it was hilariously subtle.

Not surprising, given that he's our hometown hero. :)

4. Right after the last scene...

where shrub makes his dumb fuck comments about not getting fooled. Everyone jumped out of their seats clapping and screaming! :)

The crowd , mostly gasps, there were a few "you have
got to kidding" and "Oh my god" and "WHAT" ...I think
the movie was news to many in the theater .

The wolfie comb moment really grossed the theater out
and his go to kid wiping his hand on it , got a reation too.

6. Maxine Waters.

But I live in LA, and her response is both the most impassioned and the most correct.

Also when Lila's son wrote that he wouldn't vote for a Republican again.

7. Who was the guy...

...who claimed that he had an 800 number? When the words came on the screen saying that this wasn't true and then his actually office number was shown the audience here in Philly went nuts! It was great.

10. Biggest cheers

The guy who got his office phone number listed, since his 800 number is fictional. His name escapes me right now. . .

The entire sequence where Bush is on the aircraft carrier and they are playing the theme to The Greatest American Hero, especially the line, "Should've been somebody else!"

12. The "Bonanza" sequence

Among several others. Our show was packed with some very loud people, including me! I loved it, it was a magnificent experience to be in a theater with so many, many people who feel the same things and my husband and I do!

13. Fool Me Once... shame on you.... shame..on

I saw F 9-11 on Friday to a sold out theater... there were so many times the crowd responded to a scene. But the end showing baby bush fumbling over the Fool Me once.... put the crowd in a frenzy.

I went again Monday with my oldest Daughter... to a half full theater.. I was amazed on the difference in the responses from the smaller crowd. I was waiting for the end to see the response and the audio went bad.. and we didn't hear the lame quote. Everyone started to booo.... the good thing is .... the theater..(Celebration Cinemas) were right there at the door handing out free passes to any movie to be used in the next thirty days. I was disappointed that so many people don't know what exactly he was saying in the end... but none the less... when the credits started rolling... everyone cheered and clapped with a standing ovation.


So I think I will be taking a couple more people to see it with my free passes.... I ended up getting three passes... since my Daughter asked for two, since she thought I didn't get one...hehehehe.

The soldier who said he was a Repub all his life, now says he will be very active for the Democratic party.
That one, by far, in Oakdale (St. Paul) MN. It brought loud whoops and cheers and many people out of their seats.

15. No cheers here in Bush country. Not at the showing I was at.

BUT there was some applause (incl. me and my group) at the end.

It was the 11 a.m. showing though, and the theater was only about 1/4th full. There might have been cheers during the other showings, which were full houses.

This is Dallas, TX. So I'm just glad it was shown here, #1, and to think....it had full houses at a number of the showings, at multiple theaters. Remarkable.

17. I saw it last Friday ...

... and the matinee showing was full.

The crowd was fairly quiet throughout the film. There were some snorts, some laughter, some "ewwwws" (at Wolfie & The Comb). I heard the girl next to me mumble "bastard!", but I forget at which point in the movie.

However, at the end (the famous "... won't get fooled again!") the audience erupted in hoots and applause!

18. Damn, how could I forget it was Maxine Waters?

I heard her speak at the last anti-war rally in Hollywood. Granted I could barely see her, the crowd was so big, but I always enjoy listening to the straight truth that she dispenses. I wish she was my Congresswoman!

The biggest responses:

The soldier who wants to ask for Donald Rumsfeld's resignation.

The injured soldier who says that he will "work for the Democratic Party".

Michael Moore riding around the Capitol broadcasting the Patriot Act.

Michael Moore asking congresspeople to sign up their kids for the military.

We live in Washington, so Jim McDermott gets a huge ovation everytime he's on.

This is topped by my former neighbor, (a dignified woman in her 50's from the East Coast,) who was sobbing during the footage of the injured Iraqi children and shouted the moment Bush's face came back on the screen, "Lying bastard! You are a lying bastard!"

I was proud of her!

Right after the fool fumble by Bush, Mike said something, but the crowd was laughing so loud I couldn't catch it. I saw it in Sarasota FL with a raucous crowd not shy about expressing their feeling during the entire movie.

got quite a gasp. That was one of the most profound moments of the film for me. Much of the other stuff I had somewhat expected, but that one hit me like a freight train.
