Exactly how did Joe Scarborough's aid Die?
From a writeup on Everything:

Just before Scarborough resigned, one of his interns, Lori Klausutis, was found dead in his offices. The county medical examiner initially said that Klausutis had no marks on her body, but later changed his story and revealed that she had died from a blow to the head.
According to the final report, Joe's intern died from having a heart valve failure and keeling over, slamming her head on her desk. However, the initial veil of secrecy surrounding the whole investigation, as well as the reversal of the examiner's opinion, made many people suspicious that Scarborough had pulled a Gary Condit. (Interpret that as you wish.)

1. He slashed her neck
Then raped her corpse.

Oh, sorry. That's the rumor I'm spreading.

On a serious note, it's something we will likely never know, since there was supposedly no autopsy.

It was all covered up so effectively.

Conjecture would be that he resigned because of it.

19. apparently it was after he resigned from Congress & as publisher
of a Florida newspaper. This is from my post below - I didn't know much about her death until you asked and I looked:

http://www.americanpolitics.com/20010808Klausutis.html

Klausutis' boss, Joe Scarborough had recently resigned from Congress prematurely and unexpectedly, amid rumors about his marital fidelity and soon after a divorce. He had also abruptly resigned as publisher of the Independent Florida Sun, claiming that resigning from Congress and as publisher was necessary to spend more time with his sons

"Joe Scarborough, a Republican Congressman from Florida (up until his resignation on Sept. 6) also had a bit of bad luck with staffers checking out…however, his staffer, aide Lori Klausutis, checked out permanently. She was found dead in Scarborough's office on July 20, 2001."

29. looks like he intended to resign as early as May of that year
http://www.truthout.org/docs_01/01.06B.Klausutis.2.htm

'But, after seven long years in Washington, Scarborough was beginning to feel he was not getting anywhere, not contributing anything, perhaps not being valued for his contributions. In November 1999, he wrote a column in the Northwest Florida Daily News, complaining that "Washington is filled with very average, very uninspired people who are just glad to be off the farm and in a uniform for the big game." He didn't feel he was making enough difference to be away from his children and speculated that his attitude might change if Bush were elected. But after Bush's election, his vote didn't really seem to be needed anymore with a Republican majority in the House.

In May of this year, amid at-the-time unconfirmed rumors of his intention to resign, Representative Joe said he had "talked with President Bush and his top staff about a presidential appointment, possibly unpaid, to some sort of position that would allow him to work out of Pensacola." He added that he would not leave Congress "unless the president asked me to."

It doesn't appear that Bush asked Joe to resign. Indeed, it appears that the Bush Administration didn't ask Joe to do anything. Perhaps feeling neglected by the Administration he had helped put into office, Joe toyed with offers of doing a political talk show or a taking a broadcast job. Finally, Joe decided to take his talents elsewhere. By the end of May, Joe had announced his decision to resign, only six months after his re-election. He left office in September and took a position with the Pensacola law firm headed by Fred Levin. Although there was a run-off election for Scarborough's seat, the website for District 1 states that the congressional seat remains vacant. Although Joe had envisioned holding a presidential appointment at the same time as his law job, it seems that the law job would have to do. Joe had practiced for only four years before entering Congress and the job with the Levin firm would allow him to be closer to home and his two sons from his former marriage.

Joe's marriage ended in 1999.'

33. As effectively as Horst Wessel's death was covered up by the Nazis
Edited on Wed Jun-30-04 09:52 AM by tom_paine
(actually, the Old Nazis, having slightly different needs than our own Imperial Sutrmtruppen, twisted the facts of Wessel's death so they could create a martyr, while Lori's murder was covered up and dropped down the Memory Hole)

Different situations, same methodologies.

4. However she died, you can rest assured the Corrupted Busheviks of Florida
including that "dependable" cornoner who had already been busted in Missouri for falsifying death records, didn;t tell us thetruth about it.

Scarborough killed her or perhaps hired someone.

Although, sending a "friend" to do it would be the Bushevik Way.

(or perhaps poor Lori found that hidden box of 2,000 Gore ballots or Kathy Harris' IBM Punch-o-matic the Busheviks disallwoed so many votes with, and she got wasted by the Big Boys)

23. Got a link? That first occurred ot me instantly
I've been saying "she probably found that missing box of Gore ballots" for 3+ years.

This doesn't surprise me at all.

Did she see something she wasn't supposed to? Or did her conscience get the best of her?

If hse did feel that way, her biggest mistake was probably telling someone instead of going directly to protective custody.

Of course, the FBI being a Bushevik organization and now throughly shot through with Ashjcroftian Liars and Murderers, maybe she DID do that.

Next stop: The morgue of a crooked coroner.

But we'll NEVER KNOW.

A Death in the Congressman's Office
http://www.americanpolitics.com/20010808Klausutis.html

'According to her obituary in the Fort Walton Daily News, Lori had served as President and, later, Treasurer, for the Emerald Coast Young Republicans and as a aide to Congressman Scarborough, she was active during the Florida recounts.'

I'm not actively researching this, but google did cough up a number of good links - see for yourself:
http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&q=Lori+Klausutis

This item is an update which details corruption related to the coroner assigned to her case and many other details:
Big Wheel Keeps on Turning
http://www.americanpolitics.com/20030721Baker.html
July 2003 - 2nd year after her death

'But the political machine in northwest Florida just keeps on rolling. As Bill Moyers reported on PBS, the Emerald Coast is being paved over by the St. Joe Timber company. People of the Panhandle, if you give them enough time, if you stay silent in the face of this wrong, they'll pave over Lori's grave.'

32. Christ, she KNEW and perhaps couldn't keep it in her heart anymore
Edited on Wed Jun-30-04 09:49 AM by tom_paine
How would someone who is ACTUALLY a Christian, unlike most of the Phony-Pious Bushevik Monsters, deal with it?

She would tell a friend, who would tell a friend.

Maybe she had information to blow the lid off the whole Election Theft.

So she had to go.

Of course, that is all speculation. That she was murdered, given the crooked cornoer's lies and the way the news media avoided it as if they were afraid they'd get an envelope full of anthrax or something.

No, she was murdered. Why? and by who? ae the only questions remaining here.

God, I wish we lived in a Free Country where somethign like this MIGHT get out and justice MIGHT be done.

Though there is NO CHANCE such a thing would happen in Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, Marcos' Phillipines, Papa Doc's Haiti, or Imperial Amerika.

Things like that just don't come out in such countries where the people are slavish and beaten down, and where the rulers are fully and completely Above the Law.

7. She was a distance runner.
She may very well have had a real heart valve problem, some runners do have very weird heartbeats etc... but that possibility is very low.
If anything, the odds are that she had a perfectly healthy, above average heart.

What is interesting is that none of her relatives or friends have come forward to claim foul play.

"Dr. Nick" (the nincompoop coroner) rules that she had a "previously undiagnosed heart condition' that caused her to pass out in the office.(after hours, on a weekend, when nobody else was there) she fell to the floor, striking her head on a corner of the desk on the way down. Then, according to which account you wanna beleive, she either died of the head trauma or drowned in her own drool while unconscious.

And her family took Dr. Nick's report at face value, buried their daughter and pretty much disappeared.

Don't ever recall seeing Mrs. Klausutis on Poppa Ho's show going "Mister Scarborough, what did you DO to my Bu-bu-bu-bu-bu-BAY-BEEEEEEEE????"

Wonder what the going rate for a parent's silence is these days?

10. Aide's death basis of animus between Scarborough and Michael Moore
From the Daily Kos:

Joe Scarborough threatens to sue Michael Moore
by Mimir
Tue Jun 15th, 2004 at 20:34:32 EDT

Scarborough did not appreciate Moore's explanation to an NBC reporter as to why he would not appear on Scarborough's show. Moore rehashed the facts concerning Lori Klausutis, a young intern found dead in Scarborough's Florida office, around the time Scarborough announced he would not seek reelection. Scarborough says Moore accused him of being a murderer:

SCARBOROUGH: You going to talk to Michael?

GOLDBERG: When he has time for me.

SCARBOROUGH: When he has time for you, just tell him to stop going around calling me a murderer or I`m going to have to call my lawyers. Will you do that for me?

GOLDBERG: Well, I`m sure you can get to him yourself, Joe, but I appreciate you having me on. I really do.

Once again, Moore is casually commenting on facts that he reasonably assumes the media already knew about. Scarborough will come out with egg on his face, as Peter Jennings did for challenging Moore's apt description of Bush as a deserter. If Scarborough is serious about his threat, then he will suffer a worse defeat than Bill O'Reilly (in going after Franken).

These guys never learn. I hope Scarborough makes Moore's day!

13. The stale smell of clammy, inept handling is all over her story - - -
Google search:
http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&q=Lori+Klausutis

First article - mentions her husband:
http://www.americanpolitics.com/20010808Klausutis.html

snip

"FORT WALTON BEACH, FL. - Lori Klausutis, a 28-year-old office worker for Rep. Joe Scarborough (R-Fl), was found dead in the congressman's district office. Police said preliminary findings from the medical examiner's office showed no foul play or any outward indication of suicide."

snip

Klausutis' boss, Joe Scarborough had recently resigned from Congress prematurely and unexpectedly, amid rumors about his marital fidelity and soon after a divorce. He had also abruptly resigned as publisher of the Independent Florida Sun, claiming that resigning from Congress and as publisher was necessary to spend more time with his sons.

snip

Lori Klausutis had a seemingly happy life. A devoted husband who listed on his online homepage "being married to Lori" as one of the honors he enjoyed, a new home in Niceville and a Catholic congregation where she was a cantor and in whose choir she sang, were some of the elements of the Good Life she enjoyed. Her husband, Dr. Timothy Klausutis, did research and development for the munitions group at nearby Eglin Air Force Base, where he presumably made a good livelihood.

snip

1) If Lori's death was just a simple accident, why did Rep. Scarborough and his spokesman Miguel Serrano feel the need to go to two different local TV stations within three hours of her body's being found and invent a nonexistent history of chronic medical conditions for her -- in other words, why did they feel the need to lie about Lori's health? 2) Would you trust without question the word of a Medical Examiner who lost his ME license in two separate states (Missouri and Florida) because he LIED about his autopsy work (for instance, saying he had autopsied some brains when he hadn't)?
3) Why should whoever wrote Ms. Klausutis's obituary feel it was appropriate to mention nearly everything about her life -- EXCEPT where she'd been working since 1999?

25. Thanks for the link!
From the article:

"A recent check of the Young Republican's web site found no mention of Lori or her contributions, nor any tribute to her memory nor comments about her passing. In fact, you will find no mention of her at all. If you go to The Pensacola News Journal's online pages, one of the few papers that actually covered the story, and search the site for "Klausutis" you will come up empty, even though the same search will pull up numerous stories matching "Scarborough". It seems as though someone wants to erase all traces of Lori Klausutis from the record and bury the story with her."

Does it ever end? Another one down the memory hole.

There are too many connections.

But they sure crucified what's-his-name (the democrat) where the only connection was that the intern - who worked clear across town in another agency - was from his district.

Hmmmmm.
