For those concerned about Clark's political affiliation

From Blitzer yesterday, commenting on Delay's criticism of Clark as 'blow-dried' or some such nonsense:

You know, Wolf, when our airmen were flying over Kosovo, Tom DeLay led the House Republicans to vote not to support their activities, when American troops were in combat. To me, that's a real indicator of a man who is motivated not by patriotism or support for the troops, but for partisan political purposes.

6. Tom Delay's Office Called My Dad's Secretary Last Week....

Wanting to speak with a doctor (both my father and I work in the same hospital) to help with a health care committe that he's on.

The doctor told him to fuck off, because even he knew Delay was a crackpot.

Clark is more trying to distance himself from being a politician rather than a repug. Claiming his independence from partisan politics so that he is free to make decisions based upon what he feels is best for the country.

I dunno, that's how I read it, not necessarily a bad thing.

I knew all along he was on our side--everything he'd said had led up to such a conclusion, in my book. It dismayed me that so many doubted him and his leanings in the first place. Thanks a lot, WILL, for posting this and both 1) putting to rest any lack of certainty some of our fellow DUers may have had about his party preference, and, 2) giving a positive answer to my prayers about Gen. Clark running if Al Gore did not. That posibility now looks more and more to be a certainty every day. :thumbsup:
