7. Called Wash Times "a propaganda operation .."
"... run by Sun Myung Moon". Loved to see Tony Blankley's face. Amazing how touchy these so-called journalists get when you start to talk about Murdoch or Moon or Scaiffe or Welch any of the other Citizen Kane's who actually bankroll the news. As if their cover of impartiality is blown.

13. A few of us have been sending Joe
a constant stream of Moon information. I'm so glad the gloves are coming off for Moon. I think he is the biggest Achilles heel of Bush and the GOP.

6. You know how long it's been since I bought a book?
If you don't, don't ask, but take my word for it...since the Reagan years. I'm ordering this book tonight, I've always been a fan of Joe's and it sounds like he held no punches in publishing this one.

As an aside, I'm a HUGE fan of mediawhoresonline, is it possible that Joe has a connection there?

10. If you decide to buy a second book
Think about buying Conason's book he wrote with the incomparable Gene Lyons, "The Hunting of the President." A superb read, well documented and exhaustively sourced and researched!

8. saw it....
Despite the restrictions Hairball put on Smokin' Joe (interrupting, screaming, etc.), he did fine, and cleaned Blankley's clock. Of course, Conason could only interject a few words of sanity between screeching, but he made his point -- the so-called liberal outlets are merely objective, if not right-leaning, whereas the conservative outlets are hard-core right-wing propaganda machines.
By the way, Conason's book is so good that you won't be able to sleep after reading it. Definitely daytime reading material.

9. Just went out and got the book
Books-a-Million wasn't carrying it, but Barnes & Noble is. I saw some other books that I'd like to get. Jim Hightower and Scott Ritter both have books out.

12. Why don't we start a DU Book Club???
we can swap books after we have read them. What do you think?
