Just saw the light about the blackout
Edited on Mon Aug-18-03 09:45 PM by nu_duer
(I have been away from home since 8am, in training for a job that, to quote Condi - whom no one could ever have imagined - I already know "deep in my bowels" that I'm going to hate very soon, but only for a short while because my low tolerance for hating work will force me to quit. So please forgive me if these points have been made (and for the tortured grammar) - I haven't seen DU all day, and a very lazy scan didn't reveal the following obvious dots, connected...)

Enron, along with other big bush "contributors", was responsible, to a major extent, for the "rolling blackouts" that plagued California in 2000.

cheney, the vp who still fights to the death any attempt to view the details of his "secret" energy policy meetings shortly after the selection, used California's energy "crisis" at the time as an example that drilling ANWR was necessary to meet our nation's energy needs. That move failed.

Two years and some months later, another blacout occours, just as the bushista-instigated California recall had taken attention away from the massive disasters bush's rape of the US and the world had begun to wrought. How, people here at DU asked as the blackouts spread, would this help bushco?

Now it is clear - a different big bush regime enabler caused the blackout to happen as the bushistas call for a new energy policy, and can we please rape ANWR now?!

This is how they benefit from the blackout. And they get to screw Canada a little bit in the process.

This isn't tin foil hat stuff. It couldn't be more obvious. What more is needed?!

1. This report was on ABC News tonight....looks like the media (at least ABC)
is starting to dig up the facts....I don't know if you saw this but it is very interesting...

In June, the CEO of FirstEnergy, Peter Burg, hosted a fund-raiser for Vice President Dick Cheney that raised $600,000 for President Bush's re-election campaign.

2. This will play against democrats
Somehow the democrats will be made to look like they obstructed the "energy plans" that would prevent such outages. Never underestimate those that will stop at nothing to get their way.

5. Your thought had crossed my mind also. I just can't quite figure out how
they did it.......something will come to light in a few days maybe. It's very convenient isn't it...

And sad that many of us think they are capable of anything no matter how dreadful or how many folks get hurt. :-(
