Most women want a husband to provide security, comfort, etc
the good life. Some wouldn't mind the Ozzie Harriet thing. Housewife, mother of children, soccer mom, etc others a career. Many nurses wed their doctors, secretaries their bosses.

My point: If women, men included, want secure lives, rich in friends and good times, why the hell do they vote for the PUBs who have given us nothing but misery??

Are Americans that blind to not see we being ripped off by the Pubs?

They want our money, our minds, our lives, and now, they even want our souls. America is being had by the Pubs

Come, we plant coffee trees by the trillions.

17. He speaks the truth.
I have a friend of mine who wants nothing more than to get married and have the man support her. She desperately wants to quit her job, have a couple of kids, and take care of the house.

Is tehre anything wrong with this? Absolutely not! I quit dating her becasue of it, but as a plan for her and her life there is absolutely nothing wrong with the concept.

There are some who would disagre, though, with the way she freely chooses to live her life.

2. People don't want to admit...
...that they might someday need some economic security from the government. They think that anyone who's responsible enough won't need it, and they don't want to feel "irresponsible" enough to admit that it may benefit them as well. Everyone wants to think they are/will be rich enough not to care, that they are part of the elite which would benefit from the elitist policies of the Republicans.

I call them "vanitycons", those who don't really benefit from the Republican policies, but like to pretend they do.

If you don't mind...
I'm gonna add that (vanitycons) to my little book of terms that explain the unexplainable.

With regards to the original post, it makes about as much sense as working class men, or minorities, voting repuke. Many women do so for religious reasons. My mother will vote to re-elect W., soley over the issue of abortion. (Just adding fuel to the flame-war-to-be.Lots of luck.)

6. If you want security get a alarm system and a dog
Most women want the exact smae thing men want, someone to love them back and to share their lives with.

12. Here we go again! Another flame bait thread!
I was going to jump on you too but I took a deep breath and read your post again. I think what you meant to say was "most people want safety and security" didn't you? :-)

15. I'm locking this thread.
While I certainly agree that we are being ripped off by the Republican party, I don't think many women (or men) on DU are going to appreciate being told what they want.

A jaguar in her driveway.
A mink on her back,
a tiger in her bed,
and a jackass to pay for it all..

Now dont flame its just a sexist joke.
