the radical right trying to scare people? the 700 club?
this is about the fact that the United States 'shall establish no State religion', ie religious freedom, not freedom from religion ...

2. It looks like you are spamming General Discussion again. |
|
Why don't you try to go back to some of the other topics you started tonight and comment on what people are posting?

3. Do we really need this today? |

We've all been at each other's throats all day over the I/P issue. Let's not start the church/state debate too.

Having the ten commandments in marble in front of a courthouse is an explicit promotion of a singular religious viewpoint upon governtment property that is supposed to bring the people impartial justice.
"thous shalt have no other gods before me" isn't in the constitution. And it should not be anywhere near a place that is supposed to be a center for impartial judgment.

I'm sure that you just weren't trying hard:
Having the ST. LOUIS inSCRIBED IN marble in front of a courthouse is an explicit promotion of a singular religious viewpoint upon governtment property that is supposed to bring the people impartial justice.
"ST. LOUIS" isn't in the constitution. And it should not be anywhere near a place that is supposed to be a center for impartial judgment.
I don't mean to be rude. The arguments you posed have heart. The courts agree. I still don't, and your reasoning is too easily ridiculed.
I'm for too much free speech, not less of it. Someone should put Hammurabi's code next to the 10 commandments. Saying nothing should be the crime.
