Help! and maybe Heads UP!
I was on the politics/campaign link..I was reading a post pertaining to who's getting political $ and how much..There's a link to www.opensecrets.com site. When I clicked on the link for that site, I got to the main page, but when I clicked on any link inside the site, a screen came up and says "access denied"...Please try entering that site, and see what happens...An online friend was on, I put in the url in an instant messenger box, then hyperlinked it, what came in the box was--ins Patriot Act campaign....WHAT does this mean? Why can't I get to any of the sites on www.opensecrets.org??

it's working...are we banned per patriot act?
Have you signed any petitions or did you vote when that site had that early online election? Remember, didn't they confiscate the names from that election??

3. No, the link is wrong
It's http://www.opensecrets.org

Apparently, they're doing work on the site right now. You'll get an access denied message if they've set their directory permissions to lock out visitors. It's nothing to worry about.

4. I've always been able to access the links
before, even the other day...did you try putting the url and do the hyperlink? What comes into the box when you do? Do you get--ins Patriot Act campaign?

5. I don't use IM
so I can't say what's going on with your IM client. My guess -- it sounds like your program allows you to copy/paste an URL into a form so it can format it into a link in a message, right? You've probably got a sentence fragment you copied earlier still in clipboard memory. Try doing it again and make sure you've got the URL copied. You can test it by pasting into a text editor or a form field first.

7. I did it again/again....
it's not the url remembering anything...we shall see in the AM being that a couple of members think they're working on their site. Will check in the AM, and if it's still saying the same thing..another person also tried it, got the same response...
