Buzzwords and false premises
Here are some words that have been bastardized by the right-wing:

Liberal
Leftist
Socialist
Politically Correct

Since these have been, used out of context, redefined, by the media talking heads, and the sheep follow right along nodding their collective heads, then how does one have a meaningful debate when these redefinitions create so many false premises?

Like the word "liberal" for example. When looked up in Webster's, how could anyone see that word as negative?

Can you add some more words/phrases?
